£2000 it aint. Someone posted this list on the 1st page of this thread and it is more than competent:

Made a wee change today to the gaming setup. Wanted to get the Xbox One X hooked up to a monitor since it now supports 1440P resolution (and not all my mates I play with are part of the master race lol). Unfortunately there is no support for ultrawide and my monitor doesn't support 2560x1440 so...
When I was doing my son’s system I looked at getting him a 1070 as he has my old 2560x1440 monitor. However after a quick search on Gumtree I found a 4 month old 1080 for £400.
Performance difference between the 1070Ti and 1080 ain’t too big but it is better.
I’d definitely be putting...
I have a K95 Platinum which I’ve been using for over a year. It’s an awesome keyboard. Recently bought a Logitech G810 for my son’s PC. I’ve been running that for a week now and think prefer the Romer-G switches in that to the MX browns in the K95.
Both are expensive but worth it? Only you can...
What’s the best way to setup our 2PCs to stream with (just looking to do it for a laugh nothing too professional lol).
I could theoretically use just my PC (8700K + 1080Ti) but I’ve read that the performance drop I’d experience when doing this would be significant. Jacks usually in bed early...
That said, after watching some videos I think this is something my boy will absolutely love, me also having been a massive destruction derby fan back in the day.
I'd go GPU (For extra pretties) as your CPU is still capable of reasonable FPS. I'm currently playing Sea of Thieves on our PC and on Ultra @ 3440x1440 the GPU is running between 85 and 95% @ 100 FPS.
They say that the 1070 is the card for 1440P but if you want 1440P at anything above 100FPS with everything "ultra" a 1080 is required. Then if going 1440P ultra wide you need a Ti to stay at 100 FPS.
Provided you get the stainless steel one it's pretty tough. I've bashed/battered mine off of so many sharp, rusty hard edges in work and its still unmarked.
Managed to finally get to the bottom of this. When I bought the 34" monitor I just reused the display port cable that I had installed into my 27" monitor. Fired the PC up and pressed DELETE to get into BIOS and the same thing happened on the new monitor.
Swapped over to the DP cable that's...
