Im skint and Ive just *got* to go 1/4 miling at York this weekend. So I need some ca$h money and in a hurry too.
Ive got some wicked track day/fast road wheels and tyres over on the for sale forum, theyll fit on any Clio, theyre in pretty good nick with low mileage blow-out proof Eagle F1s...
The principles of meshing are the same whatever the car is. Cut out any offending ribs and bracing sections so you have an open mouth to work in. Cut your mesh to the same size plus an extra inch all round. Build a support layer all round the edge (obviously inside the bumper where you cant see...
Scott Im just as gutted as you, mine was always pretty noisy then putting 18s on seemed to kill it within a few months, really noisy. Just put a new ps pump on a month ago and it was lovely and quiet for about 3 weeks then back to the bloody whining again!
Dont worry about it Steve its normal.
Well Im no expert but I always thought for SQ it was best to have the speakers you actually need. Thus my system is a pair of high passed 5" coaxes (and they do sound a lot better than other mid tweeter combos that I auditioned) in the front, powered by 2 channels of the amp, 2 other channels...
hehe yeah if you wanna get technical Joe I know where youre coming from. But my point is that a lot of people think forced induction is the ultimate route to power or torque or whatever. When really there is no substitute for raw capacity...which gives you both power and torque.
Ill take the...
spot on iceman.
Im quicker than the lot of you but I dont go on about it do I? Ooops I just did...
oh well, anyway the point is I used to have a 1.4 RT and I thought it was well nippy off the lights etc. OK in a mash the pedal at 100 kind of race on the motorway it wasnt much good but so...
The thing is a lot of 16v drivers dream of it but then realise that the work involved in the swap is gonna cost a packet. OK Im handy enough with the spanners to do my own mods and service it because Im too poor to pay someone else to. But when it comes to something like lifting the whole lump...
Yeah corny but so true...
The girls at the show were tasty on the whole but I dont think Mel has got a lot of competition to worry about there. Melly D where are you?

Its a proper silencer as well and looks almost the same as the cat. It doesnt make it any noisier but just loosens up the response a bit. Nice stealth system, Magnex all the way through.
Well IMHO all this torque of which is better torque or power comes about through motors that have a decent amount of one and not much of the other, diesels in general plenty of torque but not a lot of power, and petrols the other way round.
Best way to have a fast car is get something that...
I say youre mistaken Phil. There is no comparison between the top of the range Baccara etc and a 16v. The 16v was *the* performance Clio. The Willy came along later on as a limited edition slightly reengineered version of what was already a classic sports car if thats what you want to call it...
Well youll have to make do with this Nick!
I used to have one before I put my airbox back on. If youre dead set on an induction kit and from your comments on the sucking noise, it sounds like you are, then yes it makes a bloody loud sucking noise.
It is a bucket with a filter in it, the...
