Steve, if you can find Renault data anywhere that says their factory 1/4 mile time for a 16v Ill be well pleased mate. Ive been trying to wrangle this kind of thing out of them for years mate!
MC some nice ideas on 0-60/1/4 mile there. Ill give that some thought...mine always seems to come out crap on bhp (on the rollers) but torque is always good.
Well Ive run DS2000 on the track for half hour sessions at a time but with DOT5.1 fluid and braided lines. No fade whatsoever and anyone whos done track work will know that thats about as hardcore as you can get on braking systems.
It is quite obviously a problem with the fluid if hes not...
Paul dont blame me, Kathy organised it and good on her for it. There is nothing that says it has to be modified at all. Who says Renault want to see modded cars? Maybe they just want something tidy? We dont even know ourselves what theyre looking for so go for it anyway!
BTW Kathy will pay...
Hang on, whos caning the ERST on here? I dont for one. I might cane them on the road but not in writing! The argument that its not a 2.0 is a non-starter, the whole point of a turbo is that when youre on boost the pressure gives you effectively a bigger capacity engine, I dont know all the...
Well theres so much of that thread spread across two different forums I cant keep up with it! I registered on MIGWEB I think its called, a Vauxhall forum, and Im in the middle of a pretty intelligent 1/4 miling thread at the moment!
you cant roll plastic arches. I had to cut mine with a jigsaw then file them smooth. Luckily the 18s went straight on at the rear with no messing about. Front was a different story though.

You may have already heard something along these lines but here goes; the comp on the front page for the tickets is a cracker, we need as many of you as possible to enter. Remember - one Cliosport member *will* win this stonking prize! As they say, membership has its privileges...

Im skint and Ive just *got* to go 1/4 miling at York this weekend. So I need some ca$h money and in a hurry too.
Ive got some wicked track day/fast road wheels and tyres over on the for sale forum, theyll fit on any Clio, theyre in pretty good nick with low mileage blow-out proof Eagle F1s...
I hate that sunroof!!!
Best bet is to take the blinds out entirely and then limo tint the glass. Problem is that as far as I can see, the roof lining has to come out to get to the blind mechanism.
Id weld it over if I was ever going for a full respray.
Thats interference definitely. Go down Halfords and they will have an interference supressor. If the sound revs upwith the engine revs then theres nothing else it can be.
The principles of meshing are the same whatever the car is. Cut out any offending ribs and bracing sections so you have an open mouth to work in. Cut your mesh to the same size plus an extra inch all round. Build a support layer all round the edge (obviously inside the bumper where you cant see...
Scott Im just as gutted as you, mine was always pretty noisy then putting 18s on seemed to kill it within a few months, really noisy. Just put a new ps pump on a month ago and it was lovely and quiet for about 3 weeks then back to the bloody whining again!
Dont worry about it Steve its normal.
