1) You won't see 10bhp mate. Be lucky to get 5 extra peak power. Though it is said that they do improve the midrange a lot ie. more drivable/useable power.
2) I have a ITG panel filter and it made hee haw difference. Either stick with standard or go for the V6 air box setup. However to...
Definitely feels a lot faster. Rolling road says only 4bhp though difference.
Think I'll keep it as is for the time being and once she becomes primarily a trackday car I will start the trasformation from subtle daily driver to garish trackday car.
Get it on the track, that'll help losen her up a bit. Our 200 is now on 21500 miles and does keep getting faster. We had it dyno'd @ 2000 miles and it produced 192.8bhp and 145.7lbft then has it done 8000 miles later and it produced 197.9bhp and 152.6lbft. So there is a definitive difference as...
Lol. Just that over on macrumours a lot of people have had issues coz Apple put some software/firmware in the HDD that controls the fan speed. Remove this and the fan always goes mental.
Have you kept the standard HDD?
Not with any sort of ease. We got our 27" iMac a couple of months ago. We went for similar spec but also went for the 256Gb SSD. Maxed the RAM to 16Gb from Crucial.
Tis a flying machine tbh.
We have a fully spec'd 13" MBA. Got it about a month ago. It is lightening fast at everything. Only downside is the screen ain't as good as my old 15" MBP but you can't expect such a good screen on such a portable and efficient laptop.
As long as you have your music library on another computer...
Nope. We got our 27" iMac bout a month ago now and before it arrived I ordered the 16GB from Crucial. Fitted the RAM 2 mins after I removed the iMac from its box and haven't had any issues.
Go with the 13" Air mate. They do get expensive if you want the biggest SSD (256Gb) and the best processor but its worth it.
Since getting our Air, my old Pro doesnt get a look in.
Thinking about buying one of these ATVs though I have one question:
"I have just started ripping DVDs to my iMac then "Handbraking" them to Apple Universal format, importing them into iTunes and syncing them onto our iPhones and iPad. Movies work perfectly on these devices.
My question is...
Use a tool like CCC (CarbonCopyCloner) to copy your HDD and put it onto a temporary external HDD. Configure the iMac to boot from the external HDD then replace the HDD inside the iMac (I've not done it myself but reading upon it makes it look easy).
This is the stuff I need for the iMac isnt it?

Just buy 4 of these to achieve 16GB?
Lol. I did wonder when I was gonna get asked for proof of someone being in education but the question never arose to my slight astonishment. If its that easy to get a lot of money off then surely everyone will be doing it?
Anyway. The specs for the goodies are:
Specs are as follows:
27" iMac-...
Cheers for the advice guys. It's disappointing but wasn't enough to put me off buying one. Ordered it online tonight along with a new MacBook air for the wife.
Bought it online as I didn't know if you could spec up the machines in the Apple store. Just gotta wait for 'em to be delivered...
Looking at buying the 27" iMac in the not too distant future but after some research I have one outstanding querrie and thought I'd ask the Apple gurus on here for advice.
Its basically to check if Xbox 360 and PS3s can be plugged into iMac and used as a monitor/tv for playing games on etc? I...
