The belts were 5 years old when they were changed, Fred said the timing was well out, maybe it's in mind because the engine now feels tight, whereas before they were changed it felt raw.

Hope so, guess we'll find out when I can't get close to my old times.

I'll be lucky to do a 15.00 again, car's not been the same since the belts were changed, I think the timing was out by an amount that made it quicker, now it's timed properly it just doesn't feel as quick.

You can't it's glued on. The gear gaiter has a plastic thing gripping it at the top, ​is that's what broke?

That's quite nice actually, similar to a ph1 knob, are they screw on or do they have a grub screw?

Exactly, spinning off at high speed into a barrier on track is far more likely than something breaking on a 1/4 mile.

Such a good idea to convert one to a work van, if you're going to be driving about in it all day, might as well be something enjoyable. Plus converting a van into an 172 would way more expensive.

That really is a clean flamer, it's going to look amazing as a van.

It shocks people how quick it is, peoples shiny 182's can't f*ck with it y0! :evil: It'd be even quicker if I could afford buckets and alloys. :(
