Eh? I'm taking my readings from the battery with a multimeter and it's showing 9 volts, it's the same when engine's on or off.

I can steal the battery out of my Mums car, it's identical to mine. So what am I looking for, 12 volts, then 14 when it's charging?

I've not driven it since it stopped turning over, i've never had it cut out on me in a major way, but the stereo has been cutting out randomly or months.

I've no idea what that means. lol

He sent me a starter motor, which has been swapped over.

My soul's died, this car's killed it. The connector doesn't fit so i'm going to have to modify it, I don't have a nut that fits the 8mm bolt, at least I think it's 8mm, and the thread's mangled so it'll probably cross thread as soon as I try doing the nut up. Also my battery charger no longer...

I'm sure I can find a 13mm from somewhere, if not Homebase is just up the road. I know what'll happen, i'll get it all sorted, jump start the car, stick the multimeter on the battery, and discover it's still not charging and I need a new alternator. :(
