what’s the best radio show when drivin’

I like Steve Penk, but not when Im in the car. When Im in the car, the best thing ever is listening to the Pete Tong start to the weekend on Firday evnins, when I am just leaving work to go down to Chichester for the night. Lovely show, lovely drive, and fantastic women/pubs when I get there...

does the cambelt law of the valver apply to the RT aswell

Get it done. A snapped belt on a mates 1.2 has caused me much grief as it bent the crankshaft as well. So Im still on the hunt for a new engine, and I can not be arsed, and its not worth his while to rebuild it again Get it done now! Paul

STOP STOP STOP!!! I take it all back! I broke a Halford Pro tool tonite! It was a T-40 torx key. The end of it came clean off whilst trying to undo a cam housing. Lifetime guarantee test time. What a time to break after I had been singing their praises! Paul

Well... the 172 is as quick as the V6

Rich, interesting results. Some pretty fair conclusions drawn there. Im sure it will generate some interesting responses. However, my standpoint doesnt change. If I am to replace my Williams for another Clio in the future, the engine will not be in front of me. Paul

    Tradesales/Alarm

We bought my girlfriends car from Tradesales. Fine if you have the cash, and want a new car pretty cheap, but dont expect any frills to the service. The salesmen are idiots, they know virtually nothing and so u must know exactly what you want. Theyre not intertested in haggling unless youre...

Snap-on are very good, but are they worth the extra? I mean yes its very nice to have snap on tools to show off if you are a commercial outfit, but are they really any better than some of the other top brands out there? Plus I know someone who has broken a snap on 3/8-1/4 adapter...he tried...

Joe, glad to hear u r also a HPro fan. Ive actually yet to find another person with a bad word to say about them. And another thing is that theyre not extortoinately expensive either. I got a medium sized chest, 3 trays of tools (1/2in, 3/8in and spanners) for about £200. (that was cos...

What tools do you all use (all those engineer/DIY mechanics on here). I am constantly working on cars in my spare time, and I have always used the Halford Professional Tools. Ofcourse I have used other tools and heard stories about other tools, but in the 3 odd years of pulling cars apart...

    Caught on a Gatso

What I meant was that there was no discernable closing of the gap between the Rover and I, even as he went thru the camera. I mean theres got to come a point in the speed detection where it either fires or not. And that is probably only say 1mph. Not enough of a speed difference to notice a...

Yep Griff accepted. However I could have not put anything about it on here at all...I can take it on the chin! And Chavy, thats somthing I can not understand...the Rover in front must have been travelling fractionally slower than me, albeit a good 5/6 cars lengths in front (as I leave nice...
