I've got a Piper aswell, we can all get tinnitus together. lol
I've still got to replace the starter motor, sump gasket (it leaks a little),
and Cam/Aux/dephaser service, now that little lot is going to be expensive!!!
What else can I do though, it's a 10 year old car that'll be good for...
Well the car's going in for tie rods, track rod ends and alignment this Friday,
so that's the first step in getting it sorted for the rr day. :approve:
You can get matt black paint for exhausts.

Don't quote me on it, but I think you can get a matt black chrome like this.
It says it's black chrome, I guess the only way to know is ring an electro plating firm tomorrow and ask.

I really don't want to worry you, but when mine started crunching going into 2nd,
it went bang at 70mph a few weeks later, but that could just be mine tbh.
I'm sure it'll run for a while if you miss out 3rd whenever you can.
Second hand boxes can be had for £150-£250, unless you want to send...
Same here mate, it's just that UK old bill think an Impreza or Evo is intimidating,
the yanks take it to another level completely, although my 172 would have them in the twisties. ;)
I just don't get why people think that having a car that looks like a cross between a snow plough and robot vomit looks cool. :S
I'm sure there's a 17 year old chav that'll w*nk himself into oblivion at the thought of owning that,
I bet alot of chlamydia has been shared due to cars like that.
That belongs in here mate.

Take the manufacturers figures on bhp gains, add all the mods together, then come up with the magic number.
My 172 is running 210bhp over standard using this method, not dyno'd or anything,
who needs proof when you've got simple maths. ;)
