Yeah exhaust ports are too big. The later 172, 182 and all 197/200 heads have smaller ports.

To get the f4r to similar power levels as the k20 can produce will also cost substantially more, and it will also be far, far less reliable. You’re looking at around 1500/2000 mile rebuild intervals on a f4r. All assuming it even makes the numbers before it spins a bearing.

Nope nothing special done mate. But I always replace those bushes for the selector shaft along with a Renault seal. 👍🏻 @Touring_Rob maching the casing to accept a needle roller is the issue you’re up against.

You have to be careful with grease. It allows the clutch dust to stick and then it creates issues with the clutch dragging. We don’t put any grease on the splines for the cars at work, and we also never did it on the hgv’s.
