Yeah you can just go at it without any, but I just found easier to screw them in if I had pilot holes to begin with,
it just meant I didn't have to screw through the splitter first to get to the bumper.
I did want to drill pilot holes in the bumper aswell, but I couldn't get the car high enough...
Cut the little raised tabs off the ends,
drill or poke some pilot holes in the splitter for the self tappers,
jack the car up,
start in the middle with the first screw, then work your way to the edges,
cut excess off with a stanley knife or razor blade.
Done.
I'll have a word at work and see if I can blag June the 9th off,
i'd love to know what mines putting down because it's a right laugh to drive,
plus it's my birthday so would be a nice treat for me.
I'll let you know tomorrow Don.
Or give Renparts are ring, they usually have most things.

A garage will just do a visual check, if there are no leaks then they'll assume they're fine.
They'd have to remove them and check the compression and rebound to realise they're fecked.
They can still be knackered without them leaking,
Does the back feel like it's bouncing around on rough roads?
Does the back end step out even at slow speeds when you show it a corner?
If the answer is yes to one or both of these, then it's the shocks....we've all been there mate.
Hit a bump on the motorway and it's felt weird ever since,
alignment knocked out + mismatched tyres = feeling weird imo.
If you've lost a weight off one of the wheels, you'd feel juddering/vibration through the steering wheel.
Just went to pick up my 172 from CPR (Citroen Peugeot Renault) specialists garage Coventry,
and there was an absolute mint MB 172cup sitting outside.
The garage bloke said you're having limp mode problems.
I'm having startup problems but not today, so they couldn't find a bloody thing wrong...
I really need to pay more attention to what the forum has to offer,
I didn't even know there was a calender section. :o
So once a month we all get to hang out and have some grub, starting next week.....spot on!!! :D
I'm up for this as long as I get regular reminders from Don as I have a sh*t memory. :o
I work every weekend and miss out on alot of meets, so this is ideal for me.
I really enjoyed the West Mids Nandos meet the other month, so i'm looking forward to a regular one on an evening. :D
Although I...
Re: Which model Clio do you prefere and why?
I experienced problems pressing the damn thing, it was like kicking a lead brick!!!
Wasn't mine though so I didn't care.
You're having your side strips sprayed silver even though your car's blue,
doesn't colour coding mean spraying them the same colour as the car?
If you sprayed the strips the same colour as the car then the bullets will look spot on.
Don't get wrong it's your car and you can do what you like...
Re: Which model Clio do you prefere and why?
I like different models for different reasons.
The first Clio I ever drove was a 1.8rsi,
compared to what I was use to driving at the time it was like being shot out of a cannon,
I also prefer the shape/styling of the Valver/Williams.
A few years...
0/40 5/40 10/40 fully synth.
Most use 5/40.
Not meaning to sound snotty or anything,
but the search bar at the top is an invaluable source of info,
before I post questions I always do a search first because it's more than likely been covered before.
It just saves waiting for a reply, which...
£40 quid for 1000w lights, that's one hell of a good price, maybe a little too good imo.
I've never heard of that make but to give you an idea of prices of lighting kits,
my Bowens 500s cost £1200, that's 3 500w heads, 3 reflectors, 3 tripod/stands, 2 brollies, 1 soft box.
But they're daylight...
