    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

That's because it's defeated me. :( I save those to write my invoices.

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

Lol, next time i'll just rub my own sh*t all over it, it'd probably look better than it does now.

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

It's got to the point where I don't think it's worth the effort, I mean it's only a 'Clio' badge, after i've re-sprayed it I think i'll just leave it at that and not bother lacquering it. I'm not spending another week pissing about just to have it ruined at the end. In future what lacquer...

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

Well that'll be the problem then, rattle cans are f*cking impossible to use without accidentally blasting the b*stard.

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

One coat a day, 2 primer, 2 paint and the first coat of lacquer just went on and f*cked it all up.

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

Right I just sprayed the first coat of lacquer and it's basically dissolved the paint off in places, I can see the primer coat around the edges. I mean WTF? After it's dry i'll have to strip it start again for the 3rd time.

Where's the engine earth and what does it look like?
  9. DaveDreads

    cool looking golf

That looks amazing. If I ever become a high roller i'll get the Clio wrapped in a similar colour, probably Nato green.

    Battery Earth

Bloody typical, I had a mobile battery place come out last time and fit a new one that's under a years warrenty, but i've lost the friggin' recipt. :dapprove: Cheers for the help lads, i've got jump leads in the car, so if it happens again i'll blag a strangers car to start it off their battery.

    Battery Earth

Cheers maate i'll have a look, if i'm lucky then it may just need tightening, i'm going to get it booked in at a local Renault speialist, but I just wanted to check if it's something I can fix before I go spending money. It just wasn't having any of it this morning, but then suddenly fired up...

    Battery Earth

My car's having problems stating and i'm now pretty sure it's the battery earth, wouldn't start this morning and got the clicking noise (starter motor?) and dash lights flashing. When it finally fired up the dash clock was reset to 0:00, the battery is fully charged because I checked it the...

    Ph1 at a wet Goodwood

Lovely car that, great location aswell. Renault diamond needs a coat of satin black to match the wheels imo, but that's just me being picky. ;)

spring performance action day, castle combe

It's not often that aftermarket wheels look good on 1*2s but those are spot on, i'm also a big fan of all things anthrasite.

What wheels are they mate? They look a bit like VAG wheels, they really suit it.

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

VW Caddys that look like this, I know I shouldn't but I do. There's one i've seen driving round Coventry that's as low as low can be and just pure rust, I really like it. :o

    toxic black gold.......

Well that's certainly different, whole car would look mental in that colour.

Got Bored :P Look What i got!

Nice car for an 18 year old but please be careful mate, if 182s had been around when I was 18 i'd have killed myself within a month, at 18 I was getting hammered down the pub and throwing myself down flights of stairs on a skateboard. Enjoy it, but just take it easy until you get use to it. :)

    New Wheels

Those wheels look loads better, sportlines do lower it a little over standard and firm it up a bit, Skoda splitters are dirt cheap so that's a winner. If you can get some sportlines second hand in the for sale section then you're laughing. Cheap mods FTW.

What have you done to your car today ???

I took the 'Clio' badge off the boot, bloody thing was jammed in there proper!

    Tutuur's F7rT'ed, Lowered Renault 9

That thing is cool, but the 172 wheels looked better imo.

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

I know what's not to love, the Mini is amazing so i'm kind of breaking the rules, as this is guilty pleasures as in cars that are a bit s**t but likeable. I guess if i'm being cruel I could say they're small and slow, but that's no reason to not like a car. Beetles suck arse!!!

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

A shiver just went up my spine, I had a Rover 414 that shape, head gasket blew up......twice!!! Part ex'd it for a nice Golf TDI, felt a bit guilty when I drove away from the garage, bloke probably scrapped it, there's no way anyone would have bought it......utter heap.

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

So wet sand every layer, does that include the last layer of paint before the lacquer goes on?
  27. DaveDreads

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

Nice one, do I have to sand down every coat of spray? As in spray primer then rub down, second primer coat then rub down, colour then rub, second colour etc?

    Your Guilty Pleasure.

I'm not sure if this is a guilty pleasure seeing as it's a 'cool' car, but they're not to everyone's taste, a bit like an original VW beetle, some people love them, some hate them.....personally I hate beetles. I'd imagine alot of people feel the same about the Mini. So much want every time I...

    Spraying/Sanding 'Clio' Badge

I've read through alot of threads about spraying the diamonds/bullets/badges, so i've got an idea about how it's done, even though i've never done anything like this before, but the best way to learn anything is by doing. I've just removed the 'Clio' badge off the boot and i've got all the...
