I have one of the underbody cleaners, it works wonders for getting salt off. A quick blast underneath with some Bilt Hamber AutoFoam and then a spray off. It even fits under a pretty low Megane Have to keep the arches clean too

If that bit @NorthloopCup highlighted is a big chip then something will have done that damage or someone has dropped something in the oil filler cap. if you say it's had a head rebuild they could have dropped the cam on the bench and done that too The actual scoring on the cam looks fine though

Tbh if you can grab that bit with a fingernail then just rub it back with some Emery cloth, run it, dump the oil and send it😂

Did you put the plastic sleeve back on underneath the gaiter afterwards? There's a tab on that that locks out the freedom to select reverse but once lifted it goes above

My CPU cooler came with some little steel flick tabs @Jonnio I have a 120mm fan on there atm and I'm sure you can spin the cooler the other way around to accept a 140mm if needed
