I think I keep seeing the same RB 182 (cup)? No Stripes
This morning 9:35am going north between Warwick & Cov exit.
I was travelling south in a Iceburg 172 away from Cov towards Warwick.
Almost every day I drive to or from work on the A46 I see this car.
Your choices are a crappy 'Sport' badge from Halfords for £5,
respray your 'Clio' badge and refit it or,
one of these for £38

Or one of...
Christ almighty!!!
I expected the camera bike to crash, he must have sh*t himself coming round the corner to be faced with a wall of fire,
and then nearly running over the guy.
What injuries did he have?
Holy sh*t you took alot of photos!!!
When I started looking through your flikr account I thought, 'why haven't you posted all of these?'
because there are some amazing cars in that album, then half an hour later I was still looking through them lol.
I definitely think you should post a few...
I got my gearbox from Brignorth Renault, they're an independant breakers and his place was full of 1*2 parts,
he had 3 other boxes when I picked mine up, plus he's up for a bit of barteing,
he wanted £300 for the box I bought, I got him down to £270.
I'm not sure which JC5 you need, but as...
To give you an idea of cost I paid £270 for a tested box from a breakers,
then £475 for labour, a new clutch, upper & lower gearbox mounts + fitting of a polybush dogbone kit I already had.
£745 in total.
If you can afford it then yes it would, if you're going to go down that route i'd buy the cheapest working box you can,
and get that refured as yours could be ruined and cost more to fix.
I do know that Cliospares in Doncaster sell secondhand tested boxes for £350 collected or £400 delivered...
This happened to me last month at 70mph, massive clunk and it was stuck in gear.
Basically it exploded, got a replacement JC5 130 from a breakers for £270, a new Valeo clutch is around £100.(worth doing)
Was told by agency transmissions that a rebuild would be between £270 for a minor refurb...
JamSport are in Northampton, I had my inlets matched there.
Although I think their stated figure of 8-13bhp gain is a little optimistic.

I asked my local MOT place the same question, they said alot of the MOT additions get revised as they are often unworkable.
They said as far as they're concerned if you have a steering wheel fitted and it's airbag is faulty it's a fail,
if they had a car in with an aftermarket steering wheel...
FFS!!! If that's legit i'd have bought it, my gearbox exploded and I paid £270 for a replacement
and it'll cost me the best part of £500 to get it fitted with new mounts and clutch.
I could have just driven around in that one, or taken the box out of it to fix mine, and just stored the £500...
I've always thought that if they think a car looks good like that, what does their other half look like?
'Yeah my Mrs/Bloke looks well fit', when they actually look like the Elephant man.
That's the problem i'm afraid, I don't think Brentacre like people that are under 25.
18-25 are the most dangerous years for young drivers, insurance commpanies don't like you because you all crash.;)
I'm with Brentacre and they said to me I can do whatever I like to the car,
as long as I declare it wont cost a penny more, as long as I don't exceed 180bhp.
I've found insuring a modified car is cheaper than a standard one, Direct Line, Churchill, etc wanted piss take money,
where as the...
I know viynal wraps aren't anything new, but i've often wondered what a 1*2 would look like in matte silver.
No-one's attempted a Clio convertable Mini style, if i'd have won that 177 mill euromillions i'd have done one for the laugh.
At 18 I had a skateboard, I didn't pass my test until I was 26.
I'd have killed myself at 18 in a 182, I was dangerous enough on a skateboard.
Wait untill he has to insure it himself, £3,000?
That's if any of them will touch him. LOL
You may think almost £2quid for a washer is a piss take, but it's cheaper than a sandwich and it'll last longer.
I had a baguette today that cost over £4quid FFS!!
Thank f*ck my boss paid for it.:D
I've just put these on the front of mine and for the few weeks the car was working I thought they were great,
when I was doing 70mph on a duel carriageway and it suddenly pissed down I was glad I had them.
Although to be fair anything is better than the 2.5mm I had on my PE2s.
