Test and Tune North weald air field drag day

Grat shots, some really nice looking cars there, yellow Capri look Brutal. Been curious about Vickys NOS clio since seeing it a Trax last year, i'd love to see a vid of it on track/drag strip with NOS on full blast.

VW Testing Vid (More like stuntman training)

Don't know if this is a repost from years ago, but it was on the PH site, and I thought it was worth sharing.

    brake air ducts

I've not done it myself but, everything i've learned about Clios was from here, just type 'Brake Ducts' or 'Brake Cooling' into the search bar at the top and there's loads of threads about it. That's what I do when ever i'm curious about different things, it just saves waiting for people to...

    indution kit

You can add a 90 degree silicon hose with an oil breather to the standard box and ditch the acoustic valve, then you've got the best airflow possible out of the stock setup.

    indution kit

K-Tec/Piper X filter in standard airbox, everything else is a waste of money, and thats coming from a man that has the JMS V6 setup.

    Cam belt change frequency

Every 50-70k miles or every 5 years, which ever comes sooner. The belt will age over time regardless of miles, I tend to air on the side of caution.

    Oiling air filter

It will be pre oiled, squeeze the foam between your fingers and you'll feel the oil on the surface of your skin. Oiled filters are meant to feel tacky not mega greasy, I had the same concern when I got one but too much oil will restrict the air flow and coat your throttle body in crap. I had...

    Every Clio i see

I only look at the front bumper, if it's not a RS I ignore it. I guess i'm a 1*2 snob.

What do you think to the colour Damson. Pic inside

Looks OK to me, your mate or your Mrs won't be driving it.

wanna upgrade filter is itg panel any good or standard panel or induction kit

I've got the JMS V6 setup which makes a good noise but didn't really affect power either way, before that I had an ITG panel filter and then a K-Tec/Piper X, if I was you i'd get the K-Tec/Piper X it's the chapest out of all of them and I thought it felt the best in terms of air flow.

seen this? looks a little cheap

Probably end up being over a grand which is about right but still cheap, could be a bargain but no details about service history or parts replaced seems a bit odd. I'd give a much info about it as I could if I wanted rid of it at a good price.

    Mix of tires?

Different front and back is fine, different on either side isn't. When I first got my 172 it had 3 different makes of tyres and it was all over the shop.

If your making a rep why not sort a RS grill out, also why put dog sh*t wheels on it?:S Poor car.

    172 cup / 4-2-1 manifold

    I've been looking on ebay for 182 manis and found this £229, £238.50 delivered!:S http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-CLIO-SPORT-172-%2f-182--EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-2.5%22_W0QQitemZ110616614324QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=230053384460&rvr_id=230053384460&cguid=b3f9d45912d0a479e72412e4ff0ed9f7 I can't...

    172 cup / 4-2-1 manifold

Slighty off topic but did you notice any gains over 4-1 mani, or is it just for ease when changing cats come mot time?
  20. DaveDreads

    172 cup / 4-2-1 manifold

I thought that a 172 with a 182 manifold just meant that all you need is a 182 cat to make any 172 aftermarket exhaust fit?

The brown euro clio - now with added stance

I know you've said the side strips tie the black bits together, but i'd ditch them alltogether and fill/smooth the doors. Some kind of nice grill for the front maybe black mesh. Maybe some FK led rear lights? Quite pricey though.

    V6 Box / Standard Box / JMS / Other ?

I've got the V6 airbox JMS kit, although their rolling road test states a 10bhp gain, no-one on here has seen any real increase in power including me. An extra 10bhp would be noticeable, when I remapped mine with a RSTuner box it only gave me 6-8bhp and I noticed it straight away, an extra...

    Canon vs Nikon

TBH whenever I have to program the Canon I have to get the manual out anyway, I can never remember which metering symbol means what.:S The advantage of studio is it's totally controlable, once i've set the camera up then thats pretty much it. Oh, and i'm going to be working for a soulless...

    Canon vs Nikon

I've used a Canon 5D for ages now, but it looks like I might be getting a job at a makeover studio using their equipment, I forgot ask what they use i'm asuming it will be either Canon or Nikon.
