Showing your cars on track for an ad seems to be a good way of promoting speed and handling,
without getting into trouble with road safety groups and advertising regulators for condoning
wreckless nobhead driving.
There's no meets planned at the moment but keep an eye on the Local Meetings, West Midlands section.
If it was mine, i'd colour code the plastic bits, front & rear bumpers, wing mirrors etc, ph2 rear lights
and get rid of the door strips and smooth it over, and get some clear or smoked side...
You won't f*ck the ecu, and yes it's worth it.
I got so use to mine that I forgot what it was like before, so last summer I put the
original map back on for an hour and I thought my car was broken.
I'd forgotten that an RS clio has nothing before 5k rpm lol.
Affect your insurance? Depends if you tell them.;)
Yes it will, any increase in power like cams, remap, throttle bodies will put it up.
I've got one of the older ones and i've never had a problem, as long as you upload the correct
maps for you car then it's safe, however if you upload the...
My first car was a 1.1 Blue Metro, that rattled like a shed and if you did 60mph the steering wheel vibrated
so much it almost went invisible (i'm not exagerating).
There are a few good lads in and around Cov and we often have meets.
What are your plans for it?
I found that it felt like I had lost a bit of torque/power lower down but gained a bit higher up.
A few people on here have said the same, as above others have said it made no difference what so ever.
I've got the JMS kit which is a V6 box, with a pipercross cylindrical filter, silicone hose...
Minty mint as always mate, i've never know anyone keep their car as spotless as you do. Looking good.
Almost the polar opposite of how I treat my car.:o
Loving the shot of you at the national meet in your aviators, from now on i'm calling you Mavrick.
If you get an ar*ehole copper he can do you for not displaying a valid tax disc even if it's taxed.
It's usually down to ANPR as to whether you get pulled over, not sure how quickly the database gets
updated.
I was walking my dog down the park one day and a bloke in his sixties rolled up in a brand new Impreza STI,
he then let his Golden Retriever out the back. :approve:
I was pleasently surprised as most of the old boys that walk thier dogs show up in people carriers.
No age limit on owning...
I don't know whats crazier, the ones where the're blatently dead before they hit the ground,
or the ones where they get thrown out, go sliding along the track, then get up and walk away like f*ck all's happened!
They had some balls on 'em back then, crash and your dead!
Mental vid!
What gets me is I could say 130 or 172bhp, if the car gets written off the're never going to be able to check it.
Most insurance companies just ask if it's remapped or not, exact BHP figures will always be inacuracte
unless they have their own rolling road.
You'd think a modified car...
It's for Greenlight and the box is only big enough to write a number in.
I'm thinking of puting 168, isn't that was 172ps equates to?
It is mental to ask for BHP at flywheel, whos going to know that without a dyno and the correct
percentage loss to the wheels?
I'm filling in a greenlight online insurance form and they want to know what the BHP is at the flywheel.:S
I was tempted to put 172bhp but I know thats wrong,
anyone know what the standard BHP is on a 172?
Cheers for that mate, very helpful.
I had done some research into motorsport photography, but with anything thats very popular the're are hundreds of keen amatuers,
diluting the market for professionals. (A fact I found out years ago when trying to sell landscape images)
TBQH I don't have...
Excuse my ignorance but is it difficult to make a living from motorsport photography?
Don't worry your not looking at a potential competitor, my lens struggled at a recent showjumping meet,
so motorsport is way out of it's league. :dapprove:
Obviously Sportstock is a stock agency but do you...
Phew,
I had visions of having to SORN my car for a couple of months untill I'd saved enough to pay it all off.
I've got a Barclay credit card, had it before I had my bank troubles and I allways pay my monthly bill.
Anyone know how intensive car insurance credit checks are?
I've always paid for my insurance up front, but this year i'm going to have
to pay by instalments, i've been getting quotes and they all talk about credit checks.
Now basically i'm assuming my name is dirt as I have previous with the...
Wriggly little buggers arent they, at least he wasn't balling his eyes out, nightmare when that happens.
You did well, whenever I shoot familys with babies I always bare in mind
that as long as the customer's happy thats all that counts.
Although I don't ask my customers to launch their...
People make laugh on here, it's not like he's shat on a child then set it on fire,
it's just a clio with a two tone colour scheme FFS. LOL
If you like it mate then thats all that counts, I would'nt do it to my car but it's not my car.
