The clio2 is an epic car for the money. Ive been using my orange dci daily and done 500 miles this week already, 64.4mpg its running on fresh air, handles good, goes well enough and not a bad place to be. Cant ask for any more really for a cheap motor !
Small update from last weekend, got given...
Gtt back together after turbo swap. Ready for mot tomorrow, 14 miles since its last mot in September 2017 ! Going to flush the coolant for fresh type d and change the oil tomorrow. The oil currently in it still looks golden but will still change it due to time off road.
That sweet sound of C1j...
Ive had tons of those emails demanding bitcoin as they know your password, stating some old password, and all that bollox. I read into it and its to do with a data leak in the past, ebay or whatever. I too could do with something to manage my passwords, as they are all over the shop now
Mega day at Croft on Monday in the Kangoo. In and out all day no issues, driving was a bit rusty in the morning as 8 month since last trackday but got the pedal down in the afternoon.
The Mintex M1177 pads were awesome, no fade and f**k loads of power, locked it up a couple of times late...
Mega busy day today so brief update. Started early, fitted bilet cam and vernier pulley/timing chain to Extra van engine
Next job was to change turbo on my gtt as leaking oil, absolute ballache as all oem brackets still fitted. Got new turbo on and tried to prime oil system and the fecking oil...
The flamer van looks awesome @MattRS182 id love to do a sport van but need the dci mpg.
Had a little chav chuck a bottle at the blue dci lastnight so its sporting a small dent in the drivers rear qtr now. By the time id seen the cctv he was long gone and he best count it as his lucky day i...
Definitely, cant wait to see what they are like. The pbs pads look quite glazed when removed after quite a bit of road driving, but can prob revive them with some 80grit. Im not expecting these m1177s to be great from cold, it will be a case of boshing stock pads or the pbs back in after Croft...
Cheers mate (y) the dcis just keep plodding on they are great little cars for the dollar. Dci 100 would be great, i was looking for one myself, better gearbox and better mpg.
Give the Blue dci a basic service today. The oil looked like it had not been changed for a long time, filter had rust...
Days leave off work today so had a couple of hours on the Kangoo. Took it for a run out and its running great on the new injectors, no hesitation, no misfires or nothing.
Mintex m1177 fitted up front, see how they perform. Need to take it out and bed the pads in but bob hope of that today or...
Needs Renault clip on to find out what codes are stored, generic obd scanner wont pick up much.
Blue smoke under load will be either knackered turbo or rings, or knackered injectors. Id comp test/leakdown testif you have access to one to suit a diesel, also take exhaust off at the turbo and see...
Make a note of current config (the pic will be fine) and go for it mate. It will only reset the options listed.
Change the bits as you want then save, make sure the battery does not go flat whilst doing it, wont take long at all so if battery is good you wont have any issues.
Give the orange dci a quick clean lastnight, first one since machine polish a few weeks ago. Was nice to go to work in a clean car today. Been using the BH Auto Foam and its epic, can see the muck running off when leaving it to dwell.
Well aye, will see if funds allow some paint in the future might get bumpers on it.
Cheers mate (y) i dont mind the colour at all. Egr was dry as a bone just pure soot, quite pleased as was expecting turbo to be well on its way. As soon as the oil is changed ill give it an italian tune up to...
Snagging list, goal is to spend as little as possible but do the essentials
Service first, bosh the cheapest oil in i can find and run it for a few miles, drop as current oil looks like its not been changed for a long time. New air filter, decent oil and filter, diesel filter, new pollen filter...
Got up today and nice dry weather so give it a once over as just abandoned it last night.
First thing was to pull egr and inlet pipe off, egr was indeed blocked up but blocked on the solenoid side wierdly ? A bit crusty around the penny but not too bad. Can see somebody has been there before...
