    Prolines fitted, knocking started.

Car went in to garage with no clunks, prolines fitted and now it clunks. I tried to undo the nut at the top of the dampers (under bonet) and it wont move, really tight! Its not meant to be like that is it? Ive read its just meant to be hand tightened. The noise is definately coming from the...

    Prolines fitted, knocking started.

It knocks when I accelerate and then when I lift off. It's not a constant knocking its more of a clunk. Press the peddle (clunk) lift off (clunk). It doesn't do it when cornering.

Its most likely the top mounts. The thing I dont get is where does the washer go that sorts it? Do I have to take the dampers off the car or just undo the top rubber bit under the bonnet? Before everyone slags me off for not using the search function, I've used it for the past 2 days and...

    insurance- declaring 182 alloys?

If 182 alloys were an optional extra when the car was new then you dont have to declare them, however if your car gets written off and they need to replace it it wont come with 182 alloys. I had a golf with leather, multichanger and cruise control as optional extras and the insurance said...

In a bit of a dilemma

If it does go through the insurance you can pay your insurance company the cost of the claim and it wont count as a claim on your no claims discount. I did this when I crashed into someone, their car cost £300 to get fixed aswell as a courtesy car for them, I gave my insurance company the...

    Cup - weight loss plan

Ditch the back seats they weigh 20 kilos with the isofix bar, i've done this and the car felt much quicker. I also have a ss catback system that weighed less than standard. It will be alot louder in the car with the exhausts noise but you get use to it, and if you need to carry passengers in...

    Removing Rear Seats.

Collies are to clever in my experiance, they remember the mistakes you make when training them and then continue to do it wrong just to annoy you. a GSD is only clever up to a point, then they look at you as if to say "what do I do now?" Good fun though.

    Removing Rear Seats.

My dog might be the same as yours, he can get well @rsey. I might try and get one of those mesh grills that separates the frount from the back, just not sure how he's gonna get in the back with it in the way.

I guess he'll just have to deal with it then. Must be easy securing a Shih-zhu compared to GSD. (Jealous) lol

    Removing Rear Seats.

I do have one of those harneses but he gets really tangled up in the seat belt and starts crying when he trys to re-adjust himself. Do you know of any other way of securing the harness, or is it purely designed for a seatbelt to go through it. ps (what kind of dog do you have?)
