I'm considering taking the back seats out so that my
German Shepard has more room to move,
will I need some form of strut brace in the boot,
or are they a waste of time & money?
(Sorry if this is a dumb question.)
172ff Ph2
Asda Castle Marina Nottingham. 12:00noon ish
Spotted a Iceburg silver 172 with private plates and a recessed duel
exhaust, looked like a milltek but not sure, looked nice mate.
Would of hung around to chat about your zorst as i'm saving
for a new one, but I was in a rush.
Not sure mate, not even had the car a year yet,
Im guesing a while ago as the car diddnt run so good
when I got it.
Did my own mini service a month after I bought it and its ran
sweet since then.
It does need some attention, cam belt, aux belt and
50k-72k service is on the cards as soon as I...
Right then, nice one for that.
I hav'nt mixed the 2 of them I knew as soon as I opened
the bottle in the car I had the wrong stuff.
The guy in halfords told me that the green coolant was for Fords.
Is this right, or was he talking B*llocks?
The coolant in my 172 is getting low so I went to
halfords and got some top up mixture which is pink
however the coolant in my car is green.
Whats the deal here then?
My mate had a Milltek on his old 182 cup looked really
nice compared to the pea shooters that are fitted as standard,
the pipes really fit the recesses well, it had a really deep sound to
it, not to loud inside or out, louder than standard though.
Its a hell of alot lighter than the stndard...
I've read as many threads as I can be arsed with and
could'nt find a definative answer.
Both my Power Sterring fluid & my Coolant are on minimum,
i've been to Halfords and got PAS fluid Dlll GM-417M it says general motors
on it but it also says compatable with Renault. (is this the right...
Right then today I have seen:
A Iceburg Silver 182 **05 KGJ at about 1:00pm Nuttall Rd,
A albi Blue 1*2 coming the other way on the Nuttall Rd at about 3:15pm
A Albi Blue 197 at the Ikea island Kimberley at 3:30pm being driven by normal looking middle class lady (must be her husbands) I...
I would agree that remapping a 1.2 is a waste of money really,
but people have said that its a waste remapping the F4R engine.
Are you mad?
My mates 182cup was remapped and had the milltek system,
I drove it a good few times standard and loads of time after
it had been fiddled with.
The...
My mates R27 is terrible, it never goes above 23mpg
no matter how he drives, you could say its because its new
if it wasn't for the fact that he's already done a few thousand
miles in it.
Mine does it all the time no-matter how much I fiddle with
the brake pedal switch.
Heres a list of the possable faults that cause those lights to come on.
Brake pedal switch,
Brake fluid level,
ABS sensors,
ABS rings.
That what I have found by doing a search on the forum over the last...
Right mate cheers for that. i'll check the abs sensors,
also the last MOT I had the said that the CV gaitor was
insecurley mounted so maybe it has something to do with
that.
If my car was a woman ive have dumped her a*se
months ago!!
Right then, Ive tried dabbing the brakes on a hill both
in gear and in neutral nothing happened.
In not entirely sure how to adust the brake pedal switch,
I know in has a rachet/plunger, and ive pressed it in
then reatached it, nothing happened and ive pulled
it out and reatached it still...
I'll try it mate, but ive been driving it for a month or two already,
would this not calibrate it, or is normal diving conditions not
the best for this to work?
I know were all sick of hearing about this problem,
but it still remains!
Ive read so many threads about it and still have no clue
what the problem is, this is such a common fault
I cant believe no-one has a definative answer.
Ive had a diognostic check, it said brake pedal switch.
That...
Sorry for the really late reply, Im a photographer and have had
shoots every day, this is the first day i've been near a computer,
i'm actually at work now. (The life of a freelance)
I drive a 52 plate Iceburg silver 172ff thats usually dirty,
my office is in Enterprise house just down the...
Iv'e seen it a few times and posted it on here but no reply,
I'm guessing their not on here.
It has both cup packs so its not just a mums run around.
You would think that someone with such a nice
car would have researched it first,
thats how I found the forum.
