Well I ran 450lb fronts and 475lb rears. To me, the rear was too stiff and the front to soft, so I was going to go up to 500lb up front and 400/450lb on the rear.
At the end of the day it comes down to one thing, and that's personal preference. My advice would be go 450lb all round and try it...
Having had ast's, I'd got with them again tbh. Only Nick can answer how good the bilsteins are that he sells though, as they're valved/rated to suit from what I've seen/read.
Only downside to the billies is the lack of damping adjustability as far as I'm concerned, but having said that...
I imagine there was a few 'oh s**t, oh s**t' moments followed with 'eurgh' as they bounced off the armco. Then the sound of tinnitus from the airbags going off!
Not a chance mate. I know that circuit probably better than most on here, and he was well into the s**t before he comes into view. No amount of booting it would've altered the outcome.
Oh yeah I know just how bad it could've mate for definite. I've had a couple of mates who have rubbed some paint down the barriers and taken one for the team in terms of repairs and costs.
It's definitely a place that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. No doubt about...
You could always just change 5th gear ratios? I'd need to look at which ones you'd need, or if there's even one available. Only other option is a 089 box out of a ph1, but that'll only drop the rpm down a few hundred at most.
I wouldn't bother with it personally. There's more advantage to having the cage picking up where the rear axle mounting bolts are. The more weight you put in the rear, whilst it is the enemy, will also help when it comes to corner weighting.......

You'd have to leave it all loose and then weld it all up in stages. The usual way with weld in cages is to drill holes in the floor for the cage feet to pass through, then that allows you access to weld...
Well you could weld it there, but it won't have the same strength. It's all about the triangulation mate with a cage to create the strength of the safety cell.
I shall find out mate and let you know. He's got all manner of fair ground equipment tbh. I'm sure he said that the dodgems are £1k for a day, but I'll ask him and let you guys know. :up:
