The battery cover was from Ebay approx £15. To paint the cover I got the same colour as my car made up then used lots of heat resistant laquer to finish it off.
I just had the strut brace and ss strut covers delivered this morning from Hillpower so that should top it off nicely until I can...
Anytime mate.
Thanks guys. Just wanted to make it a little bit more unique under the bonnet. Thought it would look better with the same spray as the car with a lot of laquer and protector. That means It will only take 5 mins per week maintenance to keep it like this.
Any more suggestions on...
Hi Peeps.
Just decided to show what Ive done to the engine in the car today. Ive sprayed the engine cover, polished the fuel rail, added a SS Battery Cover and covered all the hoses making then blue.
Im waiting on the strut top covers from Hillpower (Should be here in a few days) and a strut...
I sanded mine by hand working up through the grades and am going to buff the last few scratches out with the dremels polishing attachments. Not looking forward to the plenham though either
Its Fred from Zozzasport. I think he charges £80 for it. What are you using for the fuel rail as I am halfway through mine and reverting to my dremel with high polishing parts on it
just a quick question. I know that the splitter is held on with some screws and clips. Any idea of the screw head size or type of fitment I need to get this off? Cheers
I can afford them just cant get insured with the zorst till im 25. As I said if the renault one finally packs up then I dont have a choice.
Buy a renault one thats the same price as a ss one and going to need replacing
Have a nice ss one that will outlive the car and ive only got to worry...
As I said I havent got the zorst yet so theoretically its standard as ive only sprayed oem parts and polished a few items in the engine bay. What im saying is if / when I get the zorst as the renault one is on its way out I wont declare it till im 25 (Couple of months away) If I can manage with...
Its ok for me as im not changing wheels etc etc and doing major mods. Someone who had major mods like wheels or a bodykit would be screwed. I agree with that. But a zorst and some interior mods can be easily removed so until im older Privilage wont know I have em.
Because my mods are very small - I could get the mrs to change them if I had too LOL (I have kept all the original oem parts)
Also all my mates are mechanics so changing the zorst (Which is the only external mod) when I get it wont be an issue. I will declare the lot when im 25 but have to...
Screw it. If I have a crash I will get Renault Assistance (AA - My company) to take me home and ill rip the mods off on the night. They NEVER document any mods on the job sheets so no one is ever going to know! Probably get flamed for this but at the end of the day I dont declare shite unless I...
You say door handle lights how / where exaclty (Besides the blindingly obvious) are these going to be fitted and what method are you going to use? Will they be inside the handle or through the door card?
I just went for a panel filter as its well known that the 172/182 engines tend to suck in the hot air with these induction kits therefore losing power and all you get is noise. That can be achieved by a standard panel filter and exhaust.
Because I couldnt get a faster, newer car for what I paid for it. On my shopping list was a golf R32 but was nowhere near the same price so I had the 182 instead. IMO I made the right choice.:D
