That’s the worst thing about silver. I’ve never been fussed about having dirty cars, always used to challenge myself to see how long I could go without cleaning them throughout the winter. No point with silver as they still look clean after 3 months haha.
Took the Clio to Donnington last week for an evening session. Absolutely pissed it down pretty the much the second the track opened. Initially a little disheartening, being my first track day I wanted conditions to be perfect, however looking back it was definitely for the best. So much less...
Fitted a new PMS Stud & Nut conversion kit over the weekend, had to get the finest male model in to showcase my work. Photography skills on point 🤟Also been taking advantage of this spell of nice weather and actual reliability with the car to get some miles down and enjoy it. Drives so well...
Decent update incoming!
Splashed out and finally got my Turinis refurbished. The powdercoaters worked some serious magic to refinish them as they were so far gone in some places, but now they look absolutely brilliant, hard to believe they're the same wheels. I also realised I was a little down...
Treated the Clio to a proper service last weekend, thought I'd splash out on the good stuff. Millers Nandodrive CFS and Genuine Type D coolant.
Noticed a longgg time ago the rear spring rubber mounts were missing and was causing an awful creaking noise when going over speedbumps, so finally...
Not seen a laguna splitter since my 106 days about 7 years ago haha! Shame to lose the Turini's, the difference between those and the 182 alloys is night and day imo.
Found some epic driving roads in the peak district over the weekend. Absolute belter of a day, roll on summer.
And for the first time in about 3 months, the poor Clio got a proper clean today! Properly happy with the results.
The little Clio took some beating over the last couple of days, handled it like an absolute CHAMP. It's like a little mountain goat in the snow, unstoppable!
Looks cracking, how come you decided to sell?
It's no surprise every man and his dog are trying to set up their own raffle company these days, facebook is absolutely flooded with them. I hope you got (or near to) your £10k, but mad to think they'll be getting near £16k in raffle money for it...
Only just seen this haha.
BMS shifter decided to disconnect itself from the car, which was just what I needed after finishing a 5:30am-start shift :ROFLMAO:
Thanks for coming to help again! Easy fix in the end.
Gotta say its absolutely mad you've done all of this work outside parked on the side of the road! No way I'd have the motivation to try that.
Need yourself a smart garage!
As if this worked! I was having the exact same issues and so glad I did some forum diving to diagnose!
The only thing I'd add is that I had to change the other "sidelight" fuse - number 26 rather than 27 the line above is pointing to.
Some further work to tidy up the engine bay...
Finally got around to painting the cam covers, went with black to contrast against the inlet manifold. I swear every fcking time I take off the inlet manifold & leads I manage to end up with a misfire when I put it back together again lmao. Was...
Let us know how you get on!
And as @dann2707 said, you need to be mostly hitting the hub from the side on to free it. Not the actual thread itself. But even hours of that didn't work for me, hence the splitter method. Robbed this photo from Google
Had this issue a couple of years ago, spent hours smashing the f**k out of it and wasted three gallons of gt85 and got nowhere. Ended up driving a bolt splitter halfway into the thread to grip it, and then use a breaker bar to pivot and eventually free it. Not exactly conventional but did the job.
It's quite the ride. The main storyline ain't great and is far too long, but the graphics, design, sound effects and the sheer quality of acting makes up for it.
There's some seriously depraved s**t in there too! Brutal scenes
