Nope depends on the grear you need a RR printout realy and work out when to chnage gear at what RPM as you want to maximume rthe adverage poer so in first maybe chnage up at the redline in 4th chnage up at 6.4k as the drop in rpm to 5th will mean that your adverage power will be higher.
Instead of spending on mods why not insure the car yourself legally and build up sone NCB?
A 172/182 is slow infact some TVRs are slow. So why not go buy a 600CC motorbike there quick.
If you cannot afford the insurance on your own totally legal don't buy the car.
I think anayone who goes buy a powerful car on there parents insurance and then says well I cannot insure it myself shouldn;'t have bought it.
My first car cost me (well my parents as it was a birthday present and...
The gearbox mount attaches the gearbox to the subframe to limit movement sounds like Ben hadn't put his back on right ;-)
You can get uprated ones but £500 each or there the CUp racer one which although have part number need to be brought on the continet and arn't that much cheaper than £400...
Don't worry about reving to 7.4k some remaps let them go to 8k all the time someone ever remaped once to 8.5k and it lasted a short while before the coils broke.
The difference in bonnet weight makesalmost no difference and the rev limiter light is no point IMO either. They make no real...
Yep its the Yozza car.
Mortego BB and Ktec are there. Don't think GDI or Angelwords are there (angel works normal car is black for starters)
Mortego is the one in the front of the picture you cna just see the sticker on it the BB is the Mk1 172 turbo car I think.
Be interesting to see how...
I take it you mean a 182 full fat with the Cup packs and in yellow the 182. Ie it will have the same stuff your car has.
The Cup was never made in yellow.
I've use mine very on hard track on most Uk circuits with stock pads and no fade only time I ever got fade was at Bedford and the brakes weren't very good before I started.
Try take a 182 round a Uk circuit as hard as you can none stop your brakes will fade very quickly. For starters the wheels...
Normal tunning ie head work, throttle bodies, cams etc there loads of potential a new engine swop can be good value depend how much power or money you have.
NOS can be good its cheap power to get but if you use it its expensive to use. Properly setup it is safe and reliable.
Don't bother doing anyhting the other party has accepted full responsibility it doesn't matter if you don't have a driving licence or an insured/Mot/taxed car now they are to blame.
I have to say I much prefere mine to the 172/182 brakes. Quite a few 172/182 onwers agree but mine seems a bit of a wierd car plus most other none RS I drive don't have the same brake feeling and power.
The outright performance maybe lower stopping ie from 100 etc but there easier to modulate.
Yep it can be done someone started doing one but sold it before they finished so no idea if it ever got done..
Theres not much space under the bonnet though for a supercharger though.
COst depends how far you want to go just got for a stock CR or use sme head gasgets to reduce the R or new...
I'm not sure, it depends what gear your in you want to maximume power from the engine so it you go over the max point to say 7k when you change up the cars getting more adverage power.
On track its helpful though infact letting you hold a gear longer.
It come in 300rpm (a tolerance of +-50rpm is given) before the redline to warm you the limiter coming up. Most 172 cars should have it I've driven 182 which don't have it (as there broken but noone noticed)
Stock springs are 125lb from memory. (tahts for the stock 172 the Cup is different)
I think Blistein are 400lb but thats doesn't mean that that much harder damper play a big part.
Coilovers arn't the only option they give you the options of having the car corner weight the shocks usually shorter so the car can go lower and you don't have to run very heavy springs.
If you want coilovers I'd get the H and R's they come very hightly recomended by other on the forum but...
Koni Dampers and Eibach Sportlines are a great compination and about the same price there not coilover but for that money I'd stick with just dampers and shcoks and that compination is very good.
There no new ones there mayabe a troophy or two left but unlikly.
The only chance is a dealer had one and either pre or just bough it and never registered it but thats highly unlikly.
From what people on Williamsclio could tell you have to botl it to the suspension arms and mayabe cut som eof the subrame away to make it fit and it wouldn't be worth anything.
I'd say the VAG engine are better for tunning there more bits out.
130 to 180hp is poosible 200hp is possible with a few more bits there a few running 240hp on the road and there some race ones running 250hp.
Probably not it might go a bit lower it depend show work the spring on at the moment at PI 60 springs are about the lowest I've seen which arn't custom but thats becaiuse IMo there poorly built and fail but there cheap.
