120 out fo a 65 model with a remap and cooler I thinkpushing it 110 at best realy you need other bits to pish 130hp the 80 has bigger injecotrs so alloys it to get to 120hp and if like the extreme portugest model push more but thats running a 1.9 BMW turbo 6k engine mapping (no idea what power...
106hp or 105 I forget which its a different engine bigger block gearbox (6speed) different injecotor tyre running higher pressure different turbo different piston and cooling internally I belive. Thats owuld be the better engine to start tunning.
The Portuguest Clio owners have more tunning...
You won't notice any real different a none CUp will be worth ay £300 less depend on who buys it. In some ways I'd prefere a none Cuped one as the owner probably wanted a car for the spec rarther than the engine so probably hasn't hammered it as much. Also 172 suspension fits then the 182 with...
Grab hold if it and see if you can rattle it.
Usually its jsut the gaiter which has broken but don't even bother replacing it get a new driveshaft its a pain to replace gaiters.
Working the stearing wheel when stopped puts the biggest load on the stearing my mates Corsa failed some time agao...
IMO if you don't want to spend a decinet amount of money I wouldn't bother with just springs just run some more camber and if you realy want some spacers on the front.
Best get new dampers and springs at the same time.
If you lower the car on any springs damper life will be reduced by how muc noone has realy proved there wear qucikly and people end up going to coilovers or changing the dampers usually after a while.
If you cannot afford new dampers as well I...
Any engine (excpet the Mk2 CLio) is an easy swop Williams or 1.8 (8 or 16V) is much the same.
Its a fair bit of work best get a whole doner car realy and swop it all.
The brake sensor problem is only on the 182's and its noticed very quickly not this long after being built.
The SERV light means somethings wrong and it should go back to the dealer but usually another light comes on as this will give you an idea whats up. Check the oil level thats about the...
To check for a broken drive shafts check the rubber gaiters see if any grease has leaked out.
the wheel being wonky you need to get the tracking done any good garage will lock the wheel straight ahead when they set it up. Thats will cost you about £30.
Nope disconnecting the brake sensors. to the ABS computers.
Don't try this I still need to do some investigation to see if it would work.
There not cheap though rear axles with all the bits £200 would be a complete bargin expect more like £500.
Yep thats the basic idea. I'll have a look tomorrow what needs to be done.
Whilsts the ABS shouldn't be an issue as the sensors are the same I think I have a safe way of switiching off the ABS.
Rust is the biggest problem but you already know that.
Electrics can be problems.
Whats about a Wiloiams they cna be bought for not much more these days insurance is the only negative IMO over the valver.
There no proper track setup the only proper one is what the race cars use and thats to hard for road use. Stock setups fine for track use just it rolls a bit.
I don't mind taking passengers but I'm sure others with quicker cars will take you out.
Other sized wipers do fit get the bigger ones as whiclt they don't touch the whole windscreen they do cover more of it.
I think mine are both 21 inches and size matter.
Arr right that bits cheap I got a whole hub including that bracket for £40 second hand. I think best idea is as you said hammer and grease a new one isn't that much though.
You can go very low about 90~120mm or so depends the exact tyre size you use.
However thats a real 90mm most 60mm kits lower your 60 at the back and 40 or so at the front.
Handling its not to shabyy for a shopping car.
Specification.
Built qulaity is decient
Looks a higher quality to other similar cars IMO.
Fuel economy
Low running costs.
Relaibility of it even with the abuse I give it.
