i sold an immaculate example with 77k, FSH, all round near minter, for £2k about 3 weeks ago. maybe £2300-2400 i'd reckon, and it'd need to be spotless!
true point, although a set of koni adjustables and some prolines are gonna handle better any coilover that costs less than say £700 or so. unless youre going for something at the upper/top end of adjustable coils on a clio i dont quite see the point in them.
Dunn, car looks good. not a fan of...
i just tend to buy them, swap standard parts for 'track parts', do a few track days and then swap the parts back again, usually selling the car for more than i first paid for it!
i never have and never will spend loads on a car as i just dont see the point, especially with clios as its so easy...

Hey all,
picked up a ph1 172 recently and a couple of times both the STOP and the handbrake light flickered on whilst i was driving home. they literally came on for a couple of seconds at most, and then off, and flickered as if possibly a loose connection?
car drives spot on, temp is fine...
had a think and i'm just gonna keep the f1s, get them refurbed most likely in gloss black and stick the coilies on :)
from then on i'll just be using it day to day
tim - i wont be at the coming one as i'm not gonna be putting it on the road for a month or so yet. need to give it a good...
having collected the car I'm more than impressed with the condition. its staying locked away for now as i still have my daily to use while the weathers crap! will get it detailed once the weathers a bit nicer, an thanks to steve@r-sport i'll have some coilovers as of Sunday, which will go on at...
theyre good, but a rip off with any mods, and spent 45 mins on the phone to them yesterday trying to insure the new 172, but at the end of the call she told me my clio '1.2' was all covered, cue another half hour talking her through the engine size etc!
Tim
The previous one developed an electrical issue that killed all the interior loom and the immobiliser, so I broke it for over a grand more than I paid for it
I'm hoping that as it's standard this one will have a better chance of being reliable for a bit. It's going into the garage at the...
just won my 3rd and hopefully final 172 on ebay. think i got it for a good price considering the spec and miles, and hopefully as its standard its not been too abused either!
wheels already sold and the interior is all gonna come out, which should fund replacement wheels and buckets, then...
