Interesting point this...
I have a standard 16v and love the original ride height of it sat on the standard wheels. I have no desire what so ever to lower mine (as i feel there is NO need!)
I really like the looks of the 172/182 etc standard and personally wouldnt mod one. Having said that...
Fair play to you
I think it will benefit you getting an RT and gradually mvoing up to a valver
Youll appreciate it more and also know how the clio functions etc
Tom
I see a few of the normal blue valvers around (williams blue) but not many Monaco blue ones. In fact, I havnt seen a monaco blue valver around Bristol yet.

I know of someone who has roughly 325bhp from a cupra. :o
But as you say, with a re-map, the potential is big.
Love the mk1 172 though...... tis a tough one!
Tom
I can see ya point about modded v modded tis a bit pointless comparing on a thread about standard v standard.
I have been in a williams a few times and it does feel pokier down the rev range.
But as someone said, they both handle like theyr on rails! and for two cars aged 8-10 years...
There is a Renault mag mate, usually detailing all the latest cars to be produced etc. But as for shops selling mags, the only one i can think of is PGTI wgich is for french cars, very good mag.
Totally agree Daz!
Im looking for some more mags - the ones I have are brilliant (vs fiesta rs1800) and corrado vr6.
Came out on top on both occasions! :D
Evening
Im gradually increasing my collection of valver mags and merchandise :)
I have two mags featuring the valver so far, plus the Brochure.
Does anyone know if the valver was featured on Top Gear or In Top Gear mag?? Would love to find it.
If anyone knows of any mags and dates on...
Well now youve put that into the car equation Tom...
In my opinion go for a 172
Like was mentioned.. you know the clio well an they look great.
I would prefer a mk1 172 personally but the mk2 are lovely
Clio all the way
