My Trophy averages 26-28mpg (according to computer) and I get about 240 miles per tank. I don't let it get fully empty. Computer normally tells me i'll get more than 300 miles to a tank! And i do occassionally have the odd spirited drive!
Your mileage to tank sounds about right!
I haven't owned or drove a Cup so I can't comment on the upgrade situation, but I do know the Trophy is one of the best cars I have driven! When parked it looks quite mean without looking kev-ish. The seats are too die for!
I know there is probably negligible performance difference, but if Renualt recommend running on it then whom I to be different, especially when it is only about £1.90 more to fill it with super unleaded! Thats less than a pint or a pasty!!!!
My two pence!
The Megane may have 40-50 bhp more but isn't there only a couple of bhp different in the power to weight ratios?
Also as said above it would be the extra torque of the megane that would allow it to be quicker than the clio when caught in the wrong gear!
Both cars going for it from standing...
I used to have a 106gti in yellow, loved it too bits! Had to sell it on to free up some cash about four years ago.
Didn't look anywhere as good as yours though! Again exhaust and rear lights aren't my cup of tea but rest of the car is awesome!:hail:
P.s. Also just noticed in that vid your...
Chiefsilverback, how far can you remove the top of the dash without pulling on the airbag wires?
Do you have to drill the dash to mount the tweeters? Don't fancy leaving holes behind if I decide too sell it in the future.
Where did you purchase the speakers for such a good price?
Could have been me! I drive down Lye high street on Friday nights (bout 7ish) to get to play football just off the Thorns Road! Or returning home at about 9ish!
Drove past the birmingham dealer at lunch and on way home tonight! Kept an eye out for ya Trophy but couldn't see it!:dapprove: Nearly crashed whilst lookin! Ha!
Normally the computer shall boot from which ever drive is plugged into the IDE cable as primary first. (Doesn't apply too SATA)
So if you connect your new harddisk onto the primary connector off the IDE cable and then plug your existing (older) harddrive into the secondary connector of the IDE...
Very clean!!! If thats what a clay bar does I may have too invest in one! Scenary adds to the look of the car! Not keen on black clios as they tend to look like dynamiques (or however you spell it!!!). But yours is mint!:D
They really suit the car! Clio's look great in silver and the wheels finish it off a treat! Not sure about the exhaust though! Looks a bit too bad-boy for my taste!
Theres no chance I'm paying that much for one! Thats just day light robbery! I think £60 would be more reasonable, but even then for what it does would be expensive!:dapprove:
Thanks for the reply. Thats part two of the question answered, how about the first part? Really want to get head unit now, but want too make sure I can install the speed sensor part first!
Nige.
I'm thinking of purchasing a Pioneer AVIC head unit.
I've downloaded the installation instructions and everything seems simple apart from:
1. The extension lead for the speed signal sensor on the head unit. (I think this is the pink wire.) Which wire on my clio trophy do I connect into with...
I might get shot down but............. I don't like older clio's. Yours however looks awesome! Absolutely mint! Think it may make me change my mind about them!!
