Just wondered if anyone has bought and fitted one of the new 182 GDI exhausts? Just want to know what they are like and what they sound like. I want to order one but wouldnt mind hearing some feedback.
Cheers
I raced a mk5 golf gti in my 182 cup from 20 mph and there was next to nothing in it to 130. The golfs pick up from 20mph was a little quicker but didnt get anything on me. i was a bit in his slip stream i suppose as i was behind but he pulled up by me at the next roundabout and wound his window...
thats very true ian. an m3 is a very capable car and should never be underestimated. if you have the right driver behind the wheel they will by far out handle a clio. most people dont drive them completely balls out like us clio owners because dont forget its best part of 50k! i drive my dads...
this post is completely stupid. in a straight line a 182 or 172 will get left for dead easily by either an e36 m3 or an e46 m3. i have a 182 cup and i know two people which have both of these cars. my dad has an e46 and my best mate an e36 and on a dual carriageway literally 1 min from my house...
its 111.63 inc vat from ktec but i got it off a mate for 60 cos he bought it for his mk2 v6 and was told by them that it will fit and it definately doesnt. it was sat in his garage then for months so i bought it off him at a bargain price :)
ive got the chrome one from ktec. its a nice bit of kit. wouldnt really say it made a difference. the struts are fairly stiff anyway. dont expect a big difference but they look quite cool. i went to the ring and made almost no difference. youll never notice the difference on a public road. youll...
ledas are crap for road use. too hard! chucks you all over the road. you need a little bit of soft for road use. youll get more feel with the h&rs too and there wont be such a fine line between tonnes of grip and bein part of a wall or something!!! leda is track stuff. road and track are very...
it is called an alpine ida x001. I got one and its very good. We sell them and they retail at 300. No cd tho unless you add a changer. Fastest ipod control on the market
Green stuff are rubbish end of! get ds2500s. its the way forward. completely different ball game and will work from cold and do trackdays no problem whatsoever.
my mates got an m roadster. obviously something wrong with ur mates then!!!!
I have a 182 and he destroys me. His is delimited and hes had it clean off the end of the clock! 170 ISH! theres nothing wrong with my clio either. your 172 must be very up on the power then cos thats not the experience...
Just keep your foot planted and dont go round a corner quick with no throttle. if your driving hard and goin into a roundabout for instance use the brake and throttle at the same time to keep the car balanced. as you come out of the corner start releasing the brake slowly while applying more...
definately worth doing tho if your discs are not running completely true. Performance friction use this equiptment and they make some awesome brake upgrades! They kind of know what there on about. They recommend that this should be done before even using the car after having the dics fitted.
Dave if your getting vibrations then you have something wrong with car not the brakes. Brakes should never vibrate. If so then they must be either covered in hot spots or they need aligning while they are fitted to the hub of the car. Some garages have the equipment to do this and it grinds the...
Ive got the max grooved discs and ds2500 pads, 5.1 fluid and goodridge hoses and its the best thing ive ever done. They dont fade! i did nine laps of the nurburgring with no problems at all and the discs have no hot spots on them and have not cazed or cracked. I had an impreza before and had 5...
I had a saxo vts with thousands spent on the engine. Cams, exhaust, intake, mapping etc and my 182 is definately quicker! there a bit s**t below 5000rpm but if you rev the thing you can keep it above that.
the trophy is a bit better than the 182 cup but havin said that it depends whos driving! id challenge any trophy on a track! the only place it could ever possibly be faster is on the corners cos it definately isnt in a straight line. great car the trophy tho :)
