    If you have a hand sander like a black and decker you could use that to take off the majority of texture, wil save you a bit of time.

    Trolley jack underneath the engine will suffice, the passenger side one on mine was a bit hard to get off as it had bonded together a bit. Turned out they were both split in half:eek: but all fine now.

    PM ben_p, he did a vid taking out his engine, it was from a ph1 but i believe its identical.

    Red = live Yellow = battery black = ground That should be the main ones for the headunit as they are all pretty similar, as for the cars loom i suggest a haynes manual, as the cables are odd colours :(

    Nope, 172 wings are wider. So you'll need spacers as well for the wheels, 20 - 25mm is good.

    Spacers cost about £40-£50 i think from a company on ebay, i haven't noticed any difference in parking tbh.

    I hit standing water at 60-70 yesterday at the bottom of a hill, heart pounding moment but all was well. Hopefuly yours will be minimal damage.
