Thing is all 1*2's are fun to drive... ABS WILL help someone stop quicker/safer on oil/diesel, the only way it wont make a difference is if all 4 wheels are on it in which case they would lock up as if you had normal brakes.

The point is doing the cambelt is general maintenance and 99.9% of cars that get it done there won't be noticable difference. It just gives peace of mind. It's not like its a performance upgrade....

If it was so down on power that its really noticeable I think they'd sort it out tbh.

No point, the clio will be worth the best part of nothing in a few years no matter what miles and its not like they are single figures on mpg.

I wouldn't say that is over priced at all with that millage if the rest of it is good also.

I know how to drive smoothly thanks! I would expect to get those figures doing said journey but if just doing short journeys to work and shops etc you wont.

Mine doesn't!

You only get 48mpg doing silly slow motorway speeds. For most in reality it's 38-40 on the motorway, 30-34 general. Still very good though. Parts such as tyres, disks and pads etc are not bad compared to other similar paced hot hatches.

If you can get to cas coatings in Bradford then you will probably save more than the extra cost in fuel getting there. They're very good.
