Laptops can still use other WLAN managers! Have a look on the laptop manufactures website and check what drivers they do for that model. Go to computer management and check the WLAN services are set to automatic. Might be set to manual or something although I doubt it, still worth a check.

Is it using the windows wireless manager or the network card one. Try it the other way round which ever it is. Also check the WLAN services is set to auto.

Thats with building air con units, I don't think cars do that iirc but I might be wrong.

Load of rubish, mines been spot on for 2 years and bought a good few for other people and had no issues. Only thing I can think of with them is that they went through a phase where the 15" screens died on a few a few years ago but no probs in recent years.
