The bass boost switch is a nice little touch on that amp Neil, Ill be wiring in the comps off an amp on Saturday then wiring the bass boost to the ash tray where its out of sight from prying eys.
I havent stopped smiling since I got it all set up properly!!
GDis near cambridge I thought? Hill Power is Derby.
I have had a few things done at BB mate and they are very good.
Havent had a chip but they always seem to be very helpfull and willing to advise on anything. Theyre also not trying to take your money off you - if they dont think you need...
No offense but I bet it sounds waft at the moment?
It cant be doing the car any good with the wrong fueling?
If you got that chipped up properly I reckon youd be grinning for days.
TVR Tuscan or Cerbra?
Lotus Carlton - Escort Cosworth - Evo - Top end Scoob?
Many many cars in that price range depends on taste - what was the Ferrari in Magnum PI ?
Id get a TVR prob but always be worried about them breaking or me loosing it!
The centre is actually hitting the gearbox area as the gear stick is rattling around with it.
I once had it on some ramps and they heated it all up with a blowtorch and bent it so it fit more snug.
Daz - when you say exhaust mounts to you mean the bands at the back as there is nothing else...
A friend of mine now owns my old 1.4rt that was lowered 35mm and had a piper stainless backbox.
The problem is the centre section of the exhaust hangs low and rattles under the car against the gear box. Also it rubbs the ground when its loaded.
Hes had the backbox removed and (he thinks) the...
Is that including pulleys?
Youll need a chip to go with them really, the point of cams is to hold the valves open longer, the chip will ensure you get the right air/fuel mixture.
At the very least youll need a professionally set up boost valve to give you the extra fueling.
Correct me if...
I fcukin hate Kwik fit.
More like kwik buck - they charge a fortune!!
I needed a battery urgently and the only place I could find was sh*t-fit £60!!
I used to have stuff done at my local one for free though cause I knew the people that worked there - Id buy the things I need at a proper...
I have the amps from the RCA though - will that make any difference if I do it that way?
Will the tweeters be ok if I put the amp to the crossover?
Reckon it will be pumping once I have amped those as well.
Have Magnat front comps, the eclpise sub and every ones worst enemy (kenwood 6x9s)...
Scrap that, it now sounds awsome.
Had that sub for 2 years and its never sounded like that before.
Also - the other amp hadnt blown it was the rear amp output from the head unit. just run it through the front and linked the amps together via their outputs and it now kicks massively!!
Whats...
My pals 23 but addmittedly hes insured under his parents names.
Fcuk it though, if I could afford the car and my parents would do it for me then I would too.
And yes Auralis blue is actually silver (although in some lights it has a blue colour to it. Its a smart colour and really suits the...
Pulsar, scoob, saph coss or a decent Calibra turbo (all around the £5k mark for older ones)
(As you may have guessed I want 4x4 2.0 16v turbo power next)
If I wake up rich Ill go for an Escort Cossie.
My mate bought an abolsute mint Cossie summer last year.
Its a 1992 K plate (big turbo) and it only had 30k on the clock - seriously the thing looks brand new and drives and sounds like a brank new car.
He paid £15k for it and I reckon its worth every penny - its just so fast for a standard...
Depends, in standard form the V6 every time - visual impact alone will have a non car enthusiast wetting themselves with pleasure.
BUT if you wanna play with a car a little bit the FRS is gonna be alot easier to tune up.
I bet its also alot cheaper to repair and service as well as the fact...
Right,
Got the amp, fitted it, but if I put any "real" power in to it the sub dont want it. Got it to a level it can handle but its not exactly booming with bass lines.
Itll sound good at low volumes then just cut out at higher volumes. Ive had the sub 2 years now - possible that its had...
If your a Ford enthusiast (as ALOT of people are) its a great car. I think they look great standard and have so much potential for power.
You can knock it for only being 215 (?) bhp which is not much more than CTRs and 172s but for a small amount of money that could be tuned to well over...
