If you're putting enough heat into the studs to stretch them with a 2ft long torque wrench, you've probably got bigger issues than a bit of tyre wear :o I'd be starting off at about 20psi and seeing how warm they get. Wouldn't want to run higher than 28-30 when at full operating temps. If...

I don't think so, once you're in the innards of the tailgate ! Just one T25 (IIRC) in the recess of the trim and the rest pops off...

Can you get to the trim panel - if so, remove that and then see if you can unlatch it manually.... If you've got that far - grab your multimeter (essential with a French car!!) and see if the latch is getting power or if you can see any reason it wouldn't be unlocking.
