There are some truly shocking cars on there...
That black mk2 with the silver strips and massive cut-out front bumper is awful!! The grey mk1 with the intercooler sticking out the front looks pretty shocking too
Would look better as a 3 door, any small car looks poor with 5!
Apart from the spoiler i think the blue one looks better than the red one, at least its not trying to be jap...
I dont think French and Jap cars could be any further from each other, but each to their own.
End of the day its...
where did this loser come from anyway?
Theres a difference between complaining and pointing out what CLart was getting at.
Me thinking shes rank is commonly known as an opinion...
Hes not gettin arsey, just stating that the mods on this site get a bit sweaty-palmed when they see a bit of flesh and feel the need to get shot of it.
Shes mingin anyway, i think 90% of girls that pose over car bonets at shows are rank to be fair, theyre the one that cant get a decent...
Looks mint, the only thing i would do is put a mk2 172 rear bumper on. The mk1 rear looks too bland and unsporty (1.2 like)
Wheels and calipers look good
you should paint your rear drums as the rust is really easy to see with there not being much wheel to hide it!
Id just paint them black though, not really about highlighting drums ;)
Looks smart though and will look even better when you colour code the bumpstrips...

I can tell a 172 from a standard straight away and from a distance.
Find it harder to tell a valver from an RT as most RTs near me have the valver bonnet anyway.
Anyhow f**k looks, standard for standard the new clio will pace the old one!!
And anyone who thinks ther valver is quicker than...
Id like one for the fact that thay are a lot less common than anything you have listed. Ive only seen 2 on the road and they certainly have the wow factor.
Its a ridiculous argument anyway, like saying why would you have a 182 when you could have an M3/M5 etc etc
Its strange how this car gets so much positive attention compared to other modded cars that get absolutely slated, even if they are more subtle than this
yep, agree that is a sh*t idea. If it came to the worst, that brace would snap like a twig and you would find yourself nicely strapped into your harnesses, but with the seats on top of you laid out all over the tarmac.
Aparrently if you fit a remote garage door opener like they use in America, it will block the laser signal so they cant detect your speed?
Anyway, how would they know if you had laser detection unless you get pulled?
Id like to see what sort of fine/penalty they would impose
Looks good, and if you do a load of other subtle mods it would look mint. They all add up instead of having ugly f**k off kits on them.
BUT, you should only do it if you are changing the plastic grille at the bottom too, it looks awful. You should get some of the MG ZR style mesh painted black...
Might get a valver as my next car as i had decent insurance quote for one and they are pretty nippy. I saw a couple of black ones on this site last year with anthracite OZ Superleggeras and they looked mint. One belonged to someone called Glenn i think but i cant find the pics of it now.
Also...
sweet, ill have to get some quotes then. Edde im not on the free insurance any more, just renewed with them. Ill have to ring up though as they gave me 2 years no calims last year instead of one because i renewed with them. I wont change if that is affected
Ive got a pretty good feeling they would say no, but was wondering if i could change my policy to insure a different car (non-renault) or whether they would make me cancel.
The only way i though i might have a chance is that Renault are not the actual insurers, it goes through direct line. So...
Its a pain in the arse in the mk1, my sub used to fly all over the boot. Get some of that velcro strip that is adhesive on both sides and put one side on the bare metal of the boot and the other side on the underneath of the carpet.
