On a wet road last week I was giving it some, i changed into third and as the car came on cam it broke traction very easily.
Mine also tries to spin up when changing into second under hard acceleration.
I contemplated using the lift mechanism from a mark 1 Vectra as the strut is incorporated into the hinge although this would obviously require some major modding.
Cheeks fcukers. I've just had my renewal through, £682 excluding credit which is 39%!!!! That's gone up by £10 per month.
Off to Greenlight I go for a quote.
And balls to the credit. I'll get a Halifax One card with 0% on purchases for 12 months and whack it on that.
That's my point, my 172 gets a good shoeing on a daily basis, constant 100mph cruising on the autobahn ;) and I still get 30-32mpg.
I've just been from Leeds to Manchester for a meeting for which, work will pay 45p per mile so I took it steady. I set off yesterday morning at 8am and arrived...
This might sound daft but, i'm sure you have a mate you trust with a lower powered car.
Why not swap cars for a couple of weeks, insured obviously and see just how much difference it makes. I know I wouldn't want to sell the bullett and then only save £30 a month.
Alternatively, do what a...
Not enough to justify it IMO.
If you have driven a 172 for a while, you will be used to the speed. I know that if I downgraded, I would spend my entire life ragging the arse out of it as the lack of speed would frustrate me.
There will be a nice drop in insurance and to a lesser extent...
I'm not convinced the driver was all that good. He seemed to be entering corners, especially the last one far too quickly and just swinging the wheel around.
Very quick car though. Any pictures of it?
K800i's are trash. I've had nothing but issues with mine. I can't get into any applications now, all I get is an 'application failed' error message. Superb.
Jack it up. One person lays on their back with a 1/4 inch drive 10mm socket on a very long extension. Another person sits on the slam panel leaning over the back of the engine holding another 1/4 drive deep 10mm socket onto a small breaker bar on the bolt heads. You then undo from underneath...
Check all hoses and around the engine bay for any signs of the dirty water spraying out at high pressure. It might be better to check with the engine running so that the system is pressurised.
So she's staying then.
The elbow looks good although I, personally don't think the cost above and beyond a straight elbow with no breather is worth it. yours was F.O.C though so all good.
The decat on the 182 is a nice, simple job, unlike the 172. Go for a 2.5'' full system if you can afford it, that should show some nice increases and most probably weigh less.
Sorry bud, I didn't mean to come across as having a pop at you.
Realistically, I have had my 172 remapped, fitted a Janspped 200 cell sports cat', I have a custom 2.5'' exhaust, a phase 1 172 airbox with Pipercross panel and uprated feeds with silicone bend and I doubt I have hit 185bhp as...
