Thought I'd post this here .
I'm using the standard mechanism .
I like the idea that it parks out the way , although I can make it park in the middle if I needed to.
@bbracer16v these clios run 1deg as standard fella .
So when I'm saying 2deg , that's add 1deg to what it's got anyway .
So I'm now thinking your 1deg is pretty much the same figure overall
Back in the Day - the relay used for these was a purple Renault Relay 50amp .
You can try a 30amp but will prob fail after a while . As these pump get older through working the resistance will increase and the current will put load on the relay contacts.
Epas it , get the best of both worlds . And you can still use your Pas rack just looped .
Take a look in here

Find a suitable location place for the pump .
Most people put pumps in the scuttle panel as air con has gone . Once mounted , then the hoses need to be made to suit new location.
The pump has a output and input fluid circuit.
Connect the hoses from the pump to the Rack.
With regards to wiring...
Purpose of the carbon canister is to store tank fumes and then bleeds them into the engine at certain times when requested.
With it gone makes this process redundant so fumes won't be drawn in to upset the mixture . A cleaner running engine so to speak.
