I believe the wire that was damaged was one of the several wires connected to the ECU behind the battery in the engine bay. You'll need to remove the tape/shielding to uncover the group of wires. I can't really give much help to be honesty, as Mick sorted the issue out for me.
I don't think the style 108 wheel are that popular on these anymore. They're expensive to refurb due to needing splitting etc, and haven't really aged well either. If you can pick up a set of style 107's fairly cheap that are in good condition, or that can be powder coated cheaply, then sell the...
@Dinky Feet
There is currently a 3.0Si up for sale on the Z4 Forum on 71k miles for £8250, was posted up in October, but is still for sale now.
However, there was 2.5Si sport on 78k that was up for £8k, that sold within a couple of weeks.
With the lower mileage, I'd guess it would sell for a...

Anyone ever used one of these? Popped up on an advert earlier, I know it's a leaf blower, but wondering if it'd make a...
This is one of the main buyers on the facebook groups. Paid me around £450 for a 182 Cat earlier in the year. Though prices have fallen since then to around £300.
The 172 Cat is worth more though.
Sorry to hijack, but maybe relevant. I'm currently considering a LG OLED TV for the living room to replace a Hisense 55 inch we bought about 5 years ago, when we moved. Looking to go 65", but don't know which version to go for. The A16 @ £1250, or the B16 at £1500, or maybe last year's model...
The guy selling it, sells quite a lot of Clio's, he's quite active on the facebook groups (selling stuff anyway). I don't think I've heard any bad feedback to be fair, but he gets stick for selling 182's without the centre caps. I think he tends to get the wheels powder coated in Birmingham, and...
I was initially quite worried about the battery life on mine when I first got it, as it seemed to discharge quite quickly. But I charged it over night after a few days, and its seems much better ever since. I'm consistently getting pretty much 2 full days, albeit every now and then it'll need a...
Miss my 182 RB that I sold earlier this year, probably the best 182 I've had to date (7 total).
I'd personally recommend fitting a 330mm wheel, and a spacer to suit your preferred seating position. Then a set of aftermarket seats, or similar. I had Evo 8 seats in mine, mounted as low as...
I really didn't like the last set of PS3's I had, ended up selling them, and replacing with AD08RS's. I'd used AD08R's about 5 or 6 times previously on the various 182's I've owned over the years and believe these to be the best tyre for the road in terms of grip in both dry and wet, plus the...
I had a solid red light on mine earlier in the year. I spent ages trying to figure out what the issue was, in the end I took it to a specialist who found the problem almost straight away.
It was a damaged wiring in the loom connected to the ECU, it had somehow had the outer cover damaged and...
Has anyone sold a 182 cat recently? I've got two in the garage, but when I checked prices a few weeks ago, got offered £300 each. When I sold one earlier in the year I got £440 from memory.
Need to order before the 27th to get the headphone deal I believe, so don't leave it too long.
If the Pro wasn't a larger screen, I'd have just ordered the standard Pixel to be honest, but I watch a lot of videos on it, so wanted the larger screen for that mainly.
Me and the wife ordered pixel 6 pro's yesterday. She's coming from a Pixel 5 and I've got a OnePlus Nord. Both fairly happy with our current phones, but have been waiting for the Pixel to be released for a good few months. My wife actually bought a S21 Ultra direct from Samsung a while ago and...
When i tried seats at GSM the sebelt's fitted me quite well and was comfy. But I preferred the Mirco seats. Can't remember which ones they were now as it was a few years ago.
However, the car I've got now has Mirco RS2's and they extremely comfy and fit me perfectly.
I'm a 36" waist and...
I sold my RB cup a few months ago for £5750 on 112k. Honestly I couldn't imagine paying that kind of money for a mk2 Clio (at least in 2021), but seems like I may have under sold it slightly looking on the forum.
I really don't see the appeal of buying cars like these as investments, by the...
I had to cut mine down to fit them, but I trimmed the outer side down by a couple of mm (At least), and it was still a very tight fit. Not a job i'd want to do again any time soon, along with the powerflex power steering rack bushes.
With 27k miles on it, if it's mint I'm sure it'll easy go for 5 figures, if not the full asking price to someone looking to put it into a collection.
Personally, I'd rather put that money into a Trophy though. or even stretch to a V6. Actually if I had £15k to put into a car as an investment...
Cheers mate, yeah I wasn't expecting it to be easy to move, even fully stripped a Clio is going to be around 950kg, just that it's manageable for a single person. It's a new garage with a concrete floor, though I've not looked at the finish yet, as it's got rubber matting down from when i used...
Are they the SGS Dollies? I'm in the process of sorting my garage to make room for my new Clio, and was looking at these. Figured it'd make it easier to move the car up tight against the wall when it's just in storage, and pull into the middle of the garage when working on it. My garage is only...
Demon tweeks seems to have pro race 1.2's in stock at the minute (only in black though). and they were 20% off on there eBay store last week, making them under £400 for a full set.
I prefer the little round plastic ones that cost about £3.

Didn't bother with the carbon wrap though
I'm pretty sure Stark are there own brand, and they will typically send out the Stark in place of the ordered item if it's out of stock from what I've seen online.
Not seen anything bad about them that i can recall though. Just annoying that they don't tell you before hand and it's a surprise...
