I noticed this noise on my Hero 2 and what I did was cut a piece of cardboard and placed it in the sliding / squeezing Clip bit and it's wedged in now , but it's as quiet as a mouse - none of that clicking noise over the recording.

Done nothing to it since fitting Cams. Need ARP bolts and a Map then I'll be happier.

Fitted my long awaited 428s in today, got the cover on and torqued down , timing tomorrow with all new de-phaser and aux tensioner and timing belt kit.

I'd second that. Quick one off key , my little Renault Extra 1.2 petrol was done every 3k and it was like spanking inside the rocker box. It went on for 200k and then the gearbox gave up , mind you it was 20 yrs old.

We all know the Cup stub-axle bearing holder is different to non cup , so isn't the wider track incorporated in the stub-axle then , hence the longer steering arm required also to suit ? Someone tell me I'm chatting s**t.

It's there some interior loom earth's like inside footwells near UCH and also drivers side. Also i take it the UCH needs a big fat earth so check that wiring to.

I'd be checking all the earth points first , under bonnet , engine and gearbox ect
