That's true - but were talking fumes to and leaks , eBay tat oil tanks might be cheaper but were much better knowing the Mocal one does it really well.

Yes J the air filter is mahoose , I can't re-locate battery ATM i just haven't the time on my hands I was thinking about the bulk head as an option . I need to act fast as I need it mapped before I go Snett in Dec.

I've now got my breather and am quite stumped as to where to put it. As my motor has an ITG maxogen and a normal size battery space is limited under the bonnet. Am I forced to buy a flat racing battery to make space or even put the battery in the boot ? Blimey these Renaults are tight for space

your welcome dweezle . Glad it's helped . As a little trick - once it's de-greased and dry , puff a load of talcum powder over the affected area , it will help you locate the source of the oil loss.

Poss air leak at the inlet manifold . I'd rule that out first .

No leak poss from the circlip part - that's just a ball socket - it looks a bit worn. The oil leak will most deff be the selector shaft oil seal , common issue with Renaults. Also check the left front driveshaft where it meets the gearbox casing , seen a few leaking from around there also.

No they don't come with track rod ends , I think a couple of types there also .

I know it's no conciliation - but when I ordered my inner track arms from Renault it 3 attempts to get the right parts and that was quoting rack type off the sticker. Mine was off road at the time so no worry - but it still must be frustrating for you as you need your motor back on the road...

You need to get the Renault Diagnostic tool on it and read off the fuel pressure, I'd still suspect the injectors as a high probability

There is a little kit that you can plug in to each injector and measure the amount of fuel being returned . If its excessive , that injector is knackered. And it only takes one to cause the issue you have.

Sounds to me you have weak fuel pressure (hot) 2 hrs cool down. Cold it will be fine starting right ? Diesel injectors fail causing inadequate tolerances for precision pressure. When the injectors internally leak off high amounts of Derv in the return lines back to the tank - the fuel pressure...

Same with my old Dci 80 - 550 out of a tank , I recon it would have done more if I did more motorway . But hey I wasn't complaining
