buuump I've tried 'unscrewing' it both ways doesnt unscrew, only rotates :|

got a knocking noise that started this morning: www.clio16valver.co.uk/knocking.mp3 Thats in first gear, appears to go away when in second. Sounded like a CV joint but then I put it on axle stands and the knocking is still there even when in neutral and the wheels not rotating :( BE?

for cost, go valver - can get an engine for very little :D williams bits are a lot more expensive :( - though the conversion is pretty much the same Consider a williams track too ;) - might need 16v arches though

cheers looking at it from that angle, it unscrews counterclockwise yeh? I can get it to turn a few degrees back and forth quite easily - but refuses to go any more also, there appears to be some sort of ring on the inner end that can rotate freely (with mole grips) but doesnt unscrew or...

its fairly sizeable... u can see the thin end at the bottom right of the pic where the track rod end screws in to

looks v similar to the mk1 one they have been known to weep oil - I used some silicone sealant to fix it. sorted. Also, the bolts can thread the 'box very easily :dapprove:

Im trying to change the NS track rod as mines bent (not the track rod end) but.. how the hell do you unscrew it from the rack? theres no notches or anything on it?

Re: The official FCS pics? yeh, they're a bit crap :( massivly underexposed (atleast put the camera on auto!! :p) and the track shots were with a really high shutted speed - so no motion blur of the background - all very amatuerish!! oh yeh, and they want £how much???
