Anyone still having issues with this ? I turned off the 'put hard drives to sleep when possible' in System Preferences > Energy Saver, and it seems to have sorted it out as I haven't noticed it in a while. Not sure if it's costing me an extra 3p a year in electricity or what now.. but ho hum.

What plugs have you bought !? I've never fitted one to any car that has required additional plugs/leads. It's the easiest thing in the world. Take old one out, put new one in. If you can't manage to swap a HU out, you need to wonder if you were dropped on your head as a child. No idea what...

Do you drive it hard, or has the last 2000 miles been tickled around town ? Engines need to bed in properly. If you pussyfoot about, they'll just polish the cylinder walls with the piston rings and you'll never get anywhere with it. Once warm (oil, not water!! there's a difference), be nice...

Cut the low frequencies via your HU (if it will do that) and plonk a sub in the boot, and it'll sound 100x better. The front set up is pretty impressive at doing 'very loud' with anything over 200Hz !

Reverse / 1st .. any gear, doesn't matter. It's the compression that stops it turning, not the gear you're on ;)

Either that or you have zero compression in any cylinder, meaning someone has stolen your plugs, or worse, the whole head. You'd probably notice as you'd never get to any destinations though...

LOL fair enough. Anyone who does know about these things, will it take a lap of Silverstone to be running 101 most effectively or will it take 100 miles to increase ignition ?

If the car has switchable maps, you will benefit from it by telling it straight up that you're running 101. Not sure if the ECU keeps advancing until it sees det ? Fred might know...
