Hmm I did think this and I am 95% sure he does do a few dealings that aren't 100% legal ;)
But then I thought what can he do at an official place like the DVLA office?
I will give the DVLA a call tomorrow just to check they have asked for the car to be called in however.

That wouldn't make the tyre hit the shock though would it Fred?
That would mean you wouldn't be able to mount the Dynamique alloy fully on the hub so would rub on the arch if anything?
Black - awful. Makes the car look V cheap.
White - Love it! But do a similar sort of thing to what carbon copy has done with the badges...have the badges done in Monaco with the detail on them in white.
Cheers for your replies guys.
Much appreciated.
Spoke to BrianR on the phone and he was helpful and knowledgeable as always :)
I am struggling to find the VIN numbers however...I can only find the visible one (the one on the dash). I understand there are three more on the bulkhead, engine...
Right ok.
The seller has offered me my money back if it does turn out to have been stolen - but I am not sure how legit he is after speaking to him post-sale. Might deal in a bit more than cars...
I will go and check the VINs.
And they the only two on the car then? If they are it should...
The thing is the DVLA are only saying this because they think the car has been ringed (number plates switched with another car which is the same model and colour)
How can I check this?

Hello guys,
As some of you may know on the 5/03/07 I bought myself a new clio. I posted the eBay link and despite it being Cat C, I went to have a look and got an excellent price.
However...
The car came with a private number plate (J77 HER). The seller stated that this was not included...
Oh right, will look good if just matt black.
Its just you see some that are painted silver or yellow and it just draws attention to the fact they are drums!
Sam
Hmm maybe the former? It just sounds a bit weird for it to be soo sudden.
Having said that if you had centre caps on them the mate would have needed to get a centre bolt removal key.

I had this problem a few weeks back. If one isn't really tight then they tend to work loose.
It may also be a sign that the wheel is buckled or not balanced correctly, which would course abnormal movement around the hub.
