rite so say you went out for a meal and wanted to order a steak and they turned round and said you cant have it on its own you have to have the whole cow at a lot higher price . . . . . . its the principle!
just a quick one to see whether or not i will need new nuts and bolts where the cat joins the manifold. its a ph 172 btw and has covered 38k on a 53 reg. Do they tend to be seized like fook? or are they re-usuable?
as above where can I get one from. Im talking about the join from manifold to cat/de-cat. Before you say renault or k-tec I think there both over priced . . .
Just rang renault to be told they dont sell the nuts and bolts that link the manifold to the cat on my 172. They only sell it as a kit coming in at, wait for it £37 + vat ..... HOW RUDE! Anyone ever got them before or know the part numbers of them as im not sure i beleive you can only get them...
yer the yozza is noisey but to be honest i dont know of a good looking system that isnt load. You thought about silenced de-cat? or you may have to go custom route with a couple of silencers to get it quieter
take it next stage is going to be the re-map route craig . . . . need mine mapping in the summer. Still unsure whether to go down the fastchip route or the rs tuner route
no-ones saying that they havnt noticed a differance. Yes it is an improvement but does/has it made as much as an improvement as most tuners and people make out on my car . . . . NO
mid range torque very slightly improved and made top end reving a bit more free the 6k-7k point. To be honest cant say i've gained much power, nothing noticeable anyway. Best thing I can say about them is better mpg
