Lol, cheeky.......as yet I havent been on a track (but I do intend to), and I was very aware of the other RSs about when i bought it.......if you'd read my 'blah blah blah' you'd got that :rasp:
In a way you are right, the Cup was meant as a 'track' car, hence the rear brake bias setup and all...

I've owned a Cup for 18 months. It is most certainly not pointless. I spent the previous 4 months to my purchase testdriving every RS variant under the sun, even the trophy......and the only reason I didnt get one of those was the price...
Its about £140 from renault for a new key, programmed for your car, but you need to take in proof of identity and your V5 to the parts department......think they have a database of immobiliser codes and use the cars VIN to get the right one.
You cannot have a 2nd hand key reprogrammed...
I had to replace my throttle body for something sounding the same as your issue. I was getting error codes relating to throttle position, P120 same as yours I think and limp mode kicking in very regulary. With my foot down the acceleration used to feel 'wobbly' too......

I got some Dubmeister pressed plates a few months ago........which are legal.
The font, size (and spacing for my reg) etc are legal and come with the correct BS number and postcode laser printed on them. Also they are painted with reflective paint so cover all the bits of the law that normally...

I plan to keep my dials standard grey/black, spray the surround white and convert the amber backlights to white........think that will look good personally! Should fit in with the theme of my car.....
I'm assuming you have killed one or more crank bearings by the looks of all the little bits of metal in your sump and on the bottom of your conrods....
My old S1 106 rallye ate a bearing......loud bang, followed by what i would best discribe as machine gun fire from under the bonnet! Not cool!
I would suggest adding the new car to existing policy, which may cost a few extra pennies if the insurance group is higher......but we're talking a matter of tenners unless its a Lambo or something as its only one month till the end of the policy. Then when the renewal comes through, you can...
I had a bit of a barney with mine as the top nut requires a flat bladed screwdriver or something to hold the shaft from moving while the nut is turned.......and as said above, if you dont have a spanner the right size, it can be a b**ch. Think I used an adjustable......
I have a 'connects2' lead set for my Cup from one of the guys on here who sells audio leads.....its for my alpine iDA-X001 and works great, I've never lost the presets, the stalk works well and my dash display (where the temp/time is) says Renault incase I forget what I'm driving....:rasp:

Thats like fitting 172/182/turinis to a 1.6......I would expect a premium rise for that......they are not standard to the car. But in Jetwells case the alloys he wants to fit are a standard fit to his model of clio.

I rang my insurers (Admiral) when I put my white turinis on my car, which obviously have turinis as standard anyway......explained they were the same as the standard ones, same size, same shape, blah blah, but white and the nice lady said we dont mind what so ever.....

As I said on my pic thread, I like the stripes and intend to fit a set on mine to go with all the other white bits I have fitted.......only bit I'm not sure about is on yours the Cup 172 on the bonnet.......

Definately going to consider stripes for mine to fill our the balance of white/blue and go for the 'racer look'.......
