ignoring the money, a good quality netbook is used for:
- browsing the net
- sending emails
- viewing pics
- watching videos (youtube etc)
- controlling music programs (like mediaplayer/itunes)
- transport around with you
- writing basic documents etc for meetings
the iPad does all of this...
it is a tv? why connect it to a tv? i personally would be more than happy watching home vids/showing family photos/showing people stuff online on that size screen. especially with the ease of zoom

its not a phone. i would happily use one in replacement of a laptop (web browsing, day to day web stuff) and an e-reader. both of which are not...easy on the iphone.
