Not much chance of gettin run over this morning, the cars were in the "perc ferme" conditions with the scrutenears watching so we had to be careful where we were treading as they had nose's, engine covers etc off the cars, so if anything got damaged, under the rules the car would have to start...
Few pics of my race day, we were guests of McLaren in partnership with Technogym. We watched the race from the Woodcote Grandstand. ***More Pictures Here***
Chris
Nice pics Lee.
Here are some of mine, got there about half way through first practice but didnt take any shots. Then headed to the grandstand for the Porsches. After that I met up with some guys from the Renault F1 Club forum and we sat on the pit straight directly opposite the Renault garage...

Abbey seems quite good, first time I've been there for the F1 but you could really see the deceleration of the cars and the brakes glowing, although I couldnt get a snap of that.
Pictures 2,3,4 & 5 were taken from the Abbey grandstand yesterday.
The camera I have is a Nikon D70s...
Yeah sorts out the aperture and just leaves you with the shutter to play with, and vice versa if it were aperture priority.
Havent really messed much with the ISO, does it make alot / noticable difference? Might have a crack tomorrow.
Chris
^^^ This is a pure picture that has not been through photoshop or anything.
From this picture I can tell you that it was taken at 300mm (Full zoom) and was set on shutter priority with a shutter speed of 1/60 at F25.
It was taken at the Abbey chicane grandstand which is about the same...
Boiling day today at Silverstone. Arrived at around 10:15 and saw the first F1 Practice, then the second in the afternoon with the GP2 after that, then decided to head out to beat the rush.
In first practice, M Schumacher spun right in front of me coming out from under the bridge at Bridge...
Although this wasnt taken on a Canon, it was taken with my Nikon D70s with a 70-300mm lens attached. The camera was also in the sports mode which sorted everything out apart from the ISO which was on 200.
Being on sports mode you get the effect that Rich was talking about of just freezing the...
Yep sounds like 2 different types of bulbs to me with different colour temperatures. Or maybe if one was replaced and the other one was well burnt in maybe??
Edit: ahh, just noticed they were both brand new, excuse the second bit above, ooopps.
Chris
Did my calipers a couple of months ago with Hammerite Smooth, by hand with a brush.
All can be seen here: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=135908
Chris
Yeah seems to dry really quick, to the touch after about 90mins max. Was even begining to dry before I'd finished painting my calipers as the brush was starting to clog up.
CHris
Had mine done at the dealers a few months ago now, I think theres a mod to the handle or something like that in that area. Seems to be a common problem and they knew how to fix it.
Chris
Dont think its that simple to be honest. Has, has done his an looks really good but had to go through a process of heat moulding to get it to fit. Not sure if he replaced the wings though, other wise I guess to go with the bumper its new wings and therefore new sideskirts too.
Chris
lol, yeah know what you mean about O2, having to send my phone back at the moment as they wont do anything in the shop because I bought off the net. Shouldnt have a problem with jessops though, as long as you have all the paper work for the item.
Chris
Cheers Rich.
Havent really used RAW, just have JPEG's with everything set to high.
Blue Pete, if your thinking of buying from Jessop's I can tell you I havent had any problems with them. Ordered my DSLR kit off them just before Christmas and it arrived before the estimation date because it...
More than a gig, how do you get on with your storage Rich? Do you keep things on the cards for a while?
At the F1 testing last month I took just over 200 pictures which was about 550Mb.
I do agree though, more than one could be handy, think I might get another Sandisk actually, that card in...
For my Nikon D70s I got myself a Sandisk 1GB Extreme III Compact flash card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007QU6Y2/203-2318639-3043167?%5Fencoding=UTF8, which has fast access times for when I'm using burst mode.
To carry the stuff in I got a Lowepro Nova 4 carrying bag...
If this is the pic you are reffering to, it is actually the front of the car with the front wheels off. The picture was taken with me lying on the floor just infront of the rear left wheel.
I too have yet to jack at the back. Will be doing it soon though to paint my drums so i shall take more...
