When I did it, it was a normal plate > personal .. the guy asked if I had plates made up already .. I said yes (they were coming from fancyplates) gave me tax disc and MOT and I drove home disguised as the old car with a new tax disc haha ! V5 took a fortnight to come from the DVLA.
