just thought i'd give this a bump as I know people are ordering and not putting in 'detailing world' in the comments box at the end....wouldn't want anyone to miss out ;)
Hi Rich,
The waffle weaves both have the same edging just a different colour.
The Sonus buffing towels are identical to the rest of the line with the silk binding. The Ultimates have a microfibre bound edge so are also very good. Both are better than having no binding and in real terms you'd...
The Sonus Der Wunder Drying Towels are fabulous towels, as are the Ultimates. I've sold absolutly loads of these and never had a complaint at all.
Again going with Sonus the buffing towels are top drawer as are the Ultimates, dual sided and a microfibre bound edge for no scratch.
By hand as above Klasse All In One would be your best bet. By PC I used menzerna Intensive Polish (PO91L) followed by Final Finish (PO85RD) on a red/pink calibra and it brought it up a treat:
Al, with a bit of luck it may come in before the end of the competition. The regular IP is still up there with the best in my opinion though. I'm doing litres for £16.95 which makes it a bargain.
Cheers Tim
In collaberation with detailingworld.co.uk, i'm giving away a complete Poerter Cable Polishing kit which I'm sure will come in very handy :D
Basically any order through the store over £10 between the 25th September & the 25th October that mentions the term 'detailing world' in the comments...
It's in stock now:
http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/shop/wheels-amp-tyres/chemical-guys-wheel-guard/p_197.html
It's a very soft paste wax (much softer than Poorboys Wheel Sealant), and it goes on nicely with a microfibre applicator.
As for durability obviously the jury is still out, but it...
Rich, I think you have sold me on the p21s i'm going to order some tomorrow and if it's as good as you say i'll be adding another product to my site :S
I sell the strong wash, vanilla Moose hand Glaze and M-Seal.
All great products in their own right, but I would be tempted rather than going for the waxes you highlighted, continuing the Clearkote theme by adding the Carnauba Moose Wax. On the yank forums this is a tried and tested method for...
Apparently it's the flour in Chicken soup whick makes it so effective and the little bits of fake chicken that work well as the adbrasives to remove the baked on dust.
I do have a new wheel cleaner/wax coming in this Moday all being well which should be interesting:
Chemical Guys Wheel...
You're not being 'owned' at all. I just don't want to get involved with Davids price war. This is my full time job and as such my overheads are much higher. I'm sorry, but I cannot make a living off ordering, storing, packing a bottle of shampoo for £1 profit.
My postage on a bottle of the...
The Sonus is very good, although it's quite aggressive so ok if you are going to polish afterwards. It really will remove any contamination though.
For a milder clay the Sonus Green is the one to go for.
Nattys blue and XXX are good paste waxes, the Nattys has it for ease of use, but the XX probably has it for looks.
I'd highly reccomend the Clearkote combo though also.
Vanilla Moose hand glaze, to clean and fill and remove light defects
Clearkote Carnauba Moose wax to leave a dripping wet...
No the buckets arn't the same at all. The meguiars ones are the genuine Grit Guard ones so very tough and a 100% perfect fit for the grit guard. These retail for £18 on their own. You can get the generic ones used primarilly in the caterting industry for a couple of quid of ebay. I shall stock...
The normal IP is still in my opinion the best of the rest machine polish for tougher paints and more sever swirls.
Just waiting for the courier to come and collect it.
Cheers Tim
p.s no don't eat it ;)
Thanks Rich!
I'll get a sample of the Factory seal in there also.
By PC, it's not totally necessary. I tend to follow I with the 85RD, and on softer paints just use the PO106FF as this deals with the swirls and finishes very glossy on it's own. I'm sure you'll be impressed whith them though...
Aye he's copied mine. Unfortunately mines dearer as the grit guard and bucket are genuine Meguiars one and the towels are double the price also..
Nice kit all the same though:
Wash 'n' Dry Your Car Kit
Cheers Tim
Supply problems also mean I'm about to run out of the PO106FF like the Intensive polish 3.01. The bloody factory informed me 2 days before it was being shipped that they didn't have enough ingredients. Looks like at least a month before I'll be fully stocked again, so it's a right pain.
I wouldn't bother with the SSR 2 if you are going down the Poorboys route. SSR 2.5 finishes just about LSP by PC anyway, so I'd go with the 2.5 and the 1. The Sonus products (SFX-1,2 and 3) in my book as staged products works better though. The results are truely stunning, hard work but well...
