Are my pads to close to the disc?

The surface rust will be causing a grinding noise, the pads look fine. Give it a good drive, and think ahead about renewing the discs and pads in the near future, but saying that, my rear discs look 10 times worse!

Yoko A539s, the worst tyres ever!!!

Ha ha, yeah about 10k! I do a fair bit of driving for work, so don't boot it all day long, just boot it when driving home. They're at best ok when warm. When cold I've oversteered around the roundabout down the road, not a quality tyre!

Yoko A539s, the worst tyres ever!!!

Bought a set of 4 from black circles last July, since then I've put up with general understeer and just comedy handling in the wet. But for £45 a corner fitted I thought I'd got what I'd paid for. Was putting my new discs and pads on the front yesterday, and after 10-11k they're just about legal...

Ferodo Brake Pads in Liverpool/ North West

Got the pads today and bung them on. Ferodo Premier (1420 I think the box said). The back of the box had the Clio 16v 2L Mk II 02/00 - on it amongst other Renaults.

    Interior light help..PLEASE

My interior light cluster fell out while driving through bloody Cannock today, I put it back in again and the switch had jammed. I forced it and it moved freely. Too freely and didn't operate the light, which now won't even come on when the door's open. Anyway I've realised the rocker...

    Bluetooth Hands Free Install

Installed my Moto HF850 today, took over an hour cos I was fiddling about like a t1t. Here's how it looks: I've rung a few people from it and they've not known I was using it. Yet to use it while driving (the whole point I guess). So far it's the best £25 I've ever spent. Ideally I...

random cs2 idea, cut down clio, opinions?

a bit fast and furious. You could always darken the door/b pillar if that's your thing, but the rest looks a bit too much imo.

Ferodo Brake Pads in Liverpool/ North West

God knows, i rang m'world last after everyone else said they don't stock the front ferodo pads. I thought you worked for m'world for a minute. The guy rang someone, and said they'd be in by 12 tomorrow, probably coming off the back of a lorry.

Ferodo Brake Pads in Liverpool/ North West

I don't know to be honest. I've always used Ferodo, bar the last pair of pads I bought, so wasn't too concerned with which model they were. Aren't the Ds2500s £90 or something? The fella in the shop said they were the 'sport' pads, which could mean anything!

    Are Clio Windscreens Particulary Weak?

Original screen 6 years and 80k in. Would love a new screen though, the thing has a few stone chips here and there and never quite looks 100% clean. I think the screen is more likely to get chipped due to the design of the car. Cars I've had with longer/higher bonnets have seen higher mileages...

    So ive just installed vista......

Take a chill pill geek boy. I wasn't slating Vista. I only compared my Dell Vostro on Vista with my old Dell Inspiron on XP. I'm far from a Computer Whizz, but the laptops are similar level machines allbeit about 4 years apart, and in that respect I found XP more stable. I was aware before...

    Bluetooth Hands Free Install

I've got a MOTO HF850 on its way from eBay (not the best kit I imagine, with not having a screen, but £25 delivered is all I wanted to pay and I wanted a discreet kit). Now from looking at Fubar's excellent site I know how to wire it into the 172,.. But can people advise me of the best place...
