yeah true, i dont see why, smaller and fat is better... people need to come to there senses! :P
dont know the width of R5 wheels do you by any chance?
thanks
chers ralph, i have been lookin on the net for some good lower profile tyres for the 13's... so hard to come by, just wondering what was best..
another thing i find odd, doe to the small size of the wheel, the tyres cant half be pricey! lol
well, had my mk1 for a couple of weeks now, got it slammed the other week and it was a bit lower at the rear than the front.
well, i was out last night in it, it was very wet the floor and its the 1st time it has been wet when i was out, it was s**t... it couldnt grip, the back end was...
hello, got hold of a auxillary belt yesterday and going to fit it today... but it looks very, very small!
anyone know the part number for it, as i have a feeling this is the wrong one! :D
thanks, sam
i think as it is that low at the back, there is just no movement in the suspension... its extremely stiff, so instead of dipping slightly in to a bend, it will just stay level, like a fookin ice skate! lol
i think i will higher the back a touch today to see how it goes...its baffling.
basically, it was raining tonight and have just been out, for you that dont know my car is very low at the rear.... too low i think now. It steps out so easily, im talkin i had to do 15 around roundabouts, maybe less, and it was still twitchy!:S
would that stupidly low torsion bar be the...
yeah, plenty of room left in my arches... saying that im running 195/65/13 tyres, need to get some lower profile ones soon!
and all the torsion bar does is hold the whole rear arm at a certain level and lock it in place, it does not give a stiffer ride if you have a stiffer torsion bar
there is no point, i cant see it being "stiffer"... what profile tyre do you run on what wheels?
mine is now slammed at the back and there is no rubbage with 3 fat c***s in the back.
the highsport coilovers iirc are adjustable gas aswell as height, they must be too spongy, stiffen them up...
