well... i have been running mine on standard dampers for 2 month, its -60mm lower on front, and the torsion bar about the same on the back... my dampers are 12 years old.. and cope fine!... youre should be ok.. -40mm apex on a mk2 will be fine mate with normal damping

vts will be pretty much impossible to insure at 17, whether mk1 or 2, stupid insurance... vtr would be fine, few mates had them at 17 and very fun/quick cars for the price! out of all of them, i would go for the VTR or the 1.4 Dyna... cheap to run and not too bad on insurance, allthough...

ebay do them 1£ a mile thingies! have a look on there, car transport or sumthing!
